Family day weekend 2024, deciding what bait should I use to catch Whitefish? Well, I'll give ya my two cents in this video as we fish for Whitefish on the Family Day Weekend and try 'em all. Filmed over two days, a majority of the fish were caught Monday the 19th 2024.

It's more about the technique then the actual bait!! Your skill on jigging whitefish has increased huge!! Way to go man!

Thx man! And I agree, I wish I knew this year's ago when I was just chasing baits I saw people using, thinking THAT'S why I wasn't catching. I will say though... There are baits that will give you slight advantages if they suit your style better but I think people need to experiment to find those.

Thanks for watching! I personally like 8lb braid to 8lb flouro leaders. I'll go lighter if the bait is really light but I've never gone over.
