Me, too. A lot of these styles are bringing back memories. I wish they would bring more of the drop waist dresses like the white dress Glen Close wears in Fatal attraction. They have similar ones out but not quite the same. Candie's had the best pastel sweatsuit/joggers. They should really bring that back. It was the best material.

karen you are SPOT ON about the capsule wardrobe thing on youtube. "breton striped top, ballet slippers, and a fitted blazer" they ALL suggest these pieces!! of course if that is your style then go for it, but my wardrobe is made up of a mix of classic and unique pieces that make my heart flutter and yet I do still maintain a sort of capsule-style wardrobe!

@@mal6780 I like to wear a stripey top but my husband always asks me where my onions are when I do and I think you must have to have feet like canoes to keep ballet shoes on, I can't because my instep is too high...I know what you mean about the blazer thing, every time. I wear longer or shorter coats and jackets because blazers are the complete wrong length on me, they do not suit everyone...it is so unimaginative...

I think the fashion trends can go one of two ways: Either people will only want to wear comfy lounge clothing because of the lockdown and that's what they're used to OR people will say "Finally!" and will want to wear more business casual from being tired of loungewear at home from the lockdown.

I tried to find one like that. I ordered several, but they all were really dark black with gold thread, they use brightening filters in the photos, it’s almost routine. I’ve no objection to that except that they only work with black tops, and I wear white, mostly, because I’m so pale and have really dark circles. I ended up keeping the most gold-looking one, but it’s not the true metallic that I wanted, like yours. I’m getting really into metallics, they wear like neutrals, but are more interesting.

I think trends are like the mate you keep around for a while because she/he is cute but not doesn't bring enough to the table for the long hall. Classic styles are the long hall keepers. I do like to wear a lot of trendy styles. It is just fun and gives me a reason to shop.

The balloon cut jeans were big in the 1980's "baggies" they were called with narrow ankle and wide leg, nipped in at the waist with pleats or darts. Bill Blass, Calvin Klein, Jordache. Inclusive brands for busty girls try Venus or Boston Proper websites.

Here's the thing....I'm 64, slender, white hair and wrinkly neck and all what you wear most times is perfect for me...because your style is funky classic in the best way, and in that way it is ageless. I went to H&M today and got the vest in black, layered it over a long black dress with a full skirt, rocked my black & white converse and a white Chanel handbag. KILLA! You get this light in your eyes and smile. I love it. We are getting a little warm mild weather here after the long winter so spring is in my head. I haven't gotten rid of my dad's shirts yet so I am off to that closet to raid it and try to make a style. I don't think he had too many white shirts. He had lots of patterned shirts. But hey, it's all in how you style it and wear it with panache.

I agree with you on capsule wardrobes... I think I enjoy the bold/sculptural/weird/quirky elements of fashion too much to pare down in that way, but again it's all about embracing your own personal style. Wear what makes you happy!

I want loafers with a 2” heel and thick sole, in a light neutral, still looking. That’s about as dressy as I get. Chunky footwear is the best, it makes the style fresh and the legs look delicate. Plus, footwear is literally our foundation, make it sturdy, stable and comfortable.

Eloquii.com has some great versions of the bralette for plus size. It's the cropped tank, they had in leather for fall and winter but they drop some in cotton/ jersey material I believe.

I totally agree regarding the capsule wardrobe rant! I have never worn a bretton striped top, and it is not my style, so what makes that a capsule wardrobe piece? Don't even get me started on the court shoes or spaghetti string camis...lol. I think we all need to individually determine what is a capsule piece.

The comment on “capsule wardrobe “ is so true. I wear a bit of every style so the capsule doesn’t suite me. Also ballet flats will never be a footwear staple as they all say “is a must”. I bought the Tory Burch version and donated after 5 years of trying to make them work. Love your videos

Im a full figured girl and they have excellent coverage. They're very soft and come in different colors too! See what you think. Hope it's helpful. I'm not one for beige and the cult of the capsule wardrobe in beige, navy, tweed or prince of Wales check blazer etc. I love pattern and colour and so I basically have no solid colour clothing in my wardrobe other than jeans. So I just stay away from trends and wear my patterned shirts, dress and socks all year round.

As you said Karen...We are All individuals. So as for me, I dont do trends, I basically wear whatever I want according to my mood, season, agenda for the day. I do love color, especially during the winter season. Now I am flexible and do make adjustments to my style......I love to dress preppy,classy, artsy, vintage, sporty, sexy with taste, girly, etc...really depending on my mood, and what's on my agenda...I'm blessed being able to do my own hair, nails, skin care....I eat healthy, moderate exercise, and just love living a balanced, frugal, nice, peaceful, happy, life....I love being a woman!....I get my man shirts from the Goodwill and my go to tennis shoes is always Converse.......During the entire covid pandemic, I get up and get dress for the day....everyday!....Just love your channel, enthusiasm, etc

This was a GREAT video, so fun to see & consider some new styles coming in or coming back! Sweater vests, man tailored shirts, blazers...are not for me. I'm not small but i have small rounded shoulders and none of that looks good on me (and its important to know what you can wear or cant!). But as for all those trousers and pants...so fun & I LOVE them! Also,since I'm bigger busted, one 'cheat' that I do is that I use a yoga or workout tank with a longer torso and built in bra, as a 'bralette' to peak out from under things (instead of a teensy actual bralette that doesn't offer enough coverage or support). They come in many colors too so I have pink, baby blue, olive....

Earthy neutral tones are my jam. I have always loved those tones forever. I do agree with you about the capsule wardrobe crap. I hate striped anything and I do not like blazers. I just never wear them. I love more relaxed clothes. I am here for the chunky Birkenstock’s too. Love those aviators.
