Brian, love the content! Love all the information I’ve definitely broadened my horizon of knowledge watching your videos. Can you do a video on your methods of fishing a bigger lake “without a fish finder”?? Maybe touch on the pre spawn, spawn and post spawn? I can never catch a fish in a larger lake and I don’t know why it where to even start. Small ponds and small lakes I do fine though.

Great info homie. But here in SC I got 5 go to lures that will catch them year long. Chatterbait, lipless crank, yum dinger, zoom finesse worm on drop shot and a jig no matter if I flip it, pitch or swim it

1 week ago I returned to Russell Lake after a fifteen year kid run. My family went and we stayed at the state park and had the most memorable vacation. Just a quick note of thanks for the episode with sparkle city bass’n. We did catch a largemouth or two but we used to catch hogs. I have even seen the lake record which if I remember was around 13 lbs by I think his name was Eddie Probes? Are there no big bass and if not how can that be? On a weeks trip in the 2000 era it was feasible to catch some 3 and 4 lbrs everyday. We did catch spots too so don’t get me wrong. Most memorable season was the 98 top 100. You were probably a kid but do you remember when the creeks and streets of Elberton were filled with pros? What happened to all the bait stores. We used to stay behind Lake Russell bait and tackle. George Tremmel. I know you have been there? If you fish the Rocky you have to have driven by there? I don’t expect a response but want you to personally know how special that lake is to me and thank you.

If you up north fishing in rivers and using that top water revolver by googan, you will get some nice bycatch from that also. Northern and walleye will strike at that in the spring. Then again they like anything right about now.

I just bought a bull gill and bullshad could I use them in the prespawns, I wanna bring the bullshad to a big lake, just afraid to. I payed 17 dollars for each bait and there quality baits, I don't wanna go to a lake and throw one only to have a massive pike hit it and not have a steel leader to prevent it. I'm big on saving money on fishing lures, but at the same time I honestly spend too much money

Yes Now all kidding aside both colors are MONEY and it really depends on your fishery. If ya have a lot of crawfish then throw reds and browns and greens and if you have a bunch of shiners then throw shad colors like white/yellow. Both will kill em. In my pond I fish all the actions been on white and I’ve been trying both
