Spring Salmon fishing River Spey Tulchan C Beat.

Join me on day two of my Tulchan crusade. The Spey is such a magical river that dreams are made of each pool I fished had the feeling that a fish would take at any moment. Thank you again to / lowerbolfracksfisheries and ‪@CornishChrisTheFish‬ for the opportunity to fish at Tulchan.
I am using my rod from www.resilurecu... its such a dream to use. Speak to Darren who makes the rods and he can do any rod to your specification.
I was fishing with a variety of flies and sink tips to explore the different depths of the river.

Nice video as always thanks. Lovely piece of water and good conditions, unlucky. Not sure what your setup is and I'm no expert but your casting looks to require a lot of effort for some reason. Please take this comment in the spirit it is intended.

Thank you. I was expecting a fish at any moment alas none came out to play. I bought the reel to go with the rod that had a 53 foot head spey line on it. Its not as forgiving as a shooting head. I'm persevering with it at the moment but I'm thinking of getting a shooting head line soon.

@@Hardlinesangling Good stuff and not a criticism just looked like a lot of effort to get the line out. At this time of year I use a skagit and strongly recommend the Rio Gamechanger - float/hover/intermediate. This is great for casting larger flies/tubes in often difficult Spring conditions - wind, big water etc. To the Gamechanger just add some Rio IMOW or Rio Veritips and youre all set to fish any depths, flow. I normally dont fish a full spey until beginning of Summer. Just a suggestion.
