Every once in a while you add some nature scene that makes my heart explode. Most of my family is from Ohio and seeing them fishing in that little pond near that old shed at evening with the bare minimum of fishing supplies reminds me so much of my childhood. I could practically hear my dad giving me pointers.

i’m feeling good today. it’s my second day in a row off work. first day is probably a 40% with a lot of time spent just recharging. It was only 61 outside yesterday and in the 40s by evening. had to put on a sweater and warm slippers. Today i’m feeling about 70%. It’s sunny and warm 67 already with a high of 77. I have plans to sit outside in the sunshine this afternoon and do some drawing. nothing special just playing with color while my dog Olive barks at the birds. my phone is at 78% and charging. Love your vlogs! i’ve just found you recently on youtube and really enjoy your art! it’s beautiful ❤️

re your dislike of the teal sketchbook: paint it! I add a layer of gesso and then either use Neocolor II or acrylic paint to paint my own covers and it makes them so fun and personal

So this might seem a little "out there", but I recommend looking at the techniques by the Renaissance painters Caravaggio and the nature works by Da Vinci. I know your style is way different from that type of painting, but (especially Caravaggio) were known for plugging out big detailed paintings really fast. If you're the type that needs to finish a piece in a day, then maybe there could be something to learn from those painters and the techniques they used. Good luck!

i use a sony a7c with a 40mm lens. i would recommend the sony a6400 with a 35mm lens for a very similar look. that's what i used to use and its a lot more affordable!
