As someone who is a traditional corporate worker as opposed to an artist it’s so interesting seeing your process and how you structure it. Your lessons are applicable to any type of project and time management.

I love the way the video is organized. In a lot of art-making videos, they go from supplies, to working, to finished. What happens in between is often cut out.

Dude, I cannot thank you enough for making these vlogs of your full workflow. I am like you, I just love working along to this kind of content. You make me MORE positive, and productive. Not sure any other content I follow does that for me. Thank you for being you and I wish you a very Happy New Year!

One thing I struggle with I feel is that I have TOO MANY ideas in my head. I write them down in a notebook there's so many of them, then going back I feel overwhelmed trying to decide what to work on! Brain spits out too much.

It sounds like you have to start building your own taste for art. Like carefully curate what you want your art to say . Like this is where you could regurgitate everything and consider that the rough draft and trust yourself to refine your art on a second sheet , I think there’s a beauty in two versions and you’ll start trusting yourself more to just go for it and go straight to your refined ideas if you find two versions of your art is too time consuming or costly (but I think is worth it)

100% I can relate to that! On top of that, I’m a multi-passionate person, and my ideas span so many different areas. I also write down all my ideas and regularly have to declutter and let go, even when it hurts-because I see huge potential in every single one of them. I imagine my ideas as little fairies, and sometimes I have to tell them that I need a short break because there are simply too many of them. Setting priorities helps me, or organizing them into categories based on current needs. That way, I can choose, for example: ideas for a blog, ideas to follow joy, ideas that generate income, or ideas for others. It’s a wondrous gift to have so many ideas, and if we find the right environment and way to manage it, this magical gift can truly shine.

For me it helps to not write down things and see what keeps coming back to me-those are the real ones:)
@cassielee111427 күн бұрын
@@romy-3190Same here. Ideas are common enough, it’s picking something and making it happen that matters. Don’t waste time trying to capture every idea.

How do you choose the color for illustration outlines? I love how the pink outline color turned out with the other colors layered on top but also when it’s visible just itself! But I don’t think my brain would have gone straight to the pink when choosing from the palette. Such a lovely touch!!
@furrylittlepeach27 күн бұрын
I find that pink darkens most colours nicely (besides pink because it doesnt have as much contrast). I find colour quite intuitive. I like to use a harmoniois palette overall with a pop of a complimentary colour which is why pink can work so nicely for yellow-green-blue palettes!

Hey Sha'an! Just watched your Greenpeace project vlog and I'm absolutely loving how you brought those oceanic Christmas vibes to life! The way you incorporated Aussie flora and those adorable koalas into festive illustrations is so clever. 🌊🐨 As a video editor, I kept thinking how fun it would be to edit content for someone with such a unique creative process - your excitement about the project really shines through! If you're ever looking for an editor buddy for your vlogs, I'd love to chat. Your storytelling style and creative energy is exactly the kind of content I enjoy working with. Keep crushing it! ✨🎨

Hey, maybe your fiddle leaf has too much water? That can also make house plants wilt - esp might be the case if the leaves are yellowing a bit. Also being too cold? But tbh I'm no expert - but too much water is something I have deffo been guilty of in the past.
