Spring is a beautiful time of year along California's Central Coast. So come along as we visit Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas to see springtime trains! We'll see Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and Coast Starlight passenger trains as well as Union Pacific freight trains. All aboard!

Thanks! I believe they are used for hauling coke (the fuel). That train runs between Van Nuys and Santa Maria, CA.

Beautiful as always Mike. You are such a talented video taker and you know how to get amazing shots. My home stations are Simi Valley, Chatsworth, and Northridge and I love seeing trains around there. But I have a question, where can I go to get really good shots, see trains constantly and be in a place where they can honk for me? Anyway, great video!

Thanks so much! Probably my favorite spots in that area are in the Santa Susana Pass but there aren't many crossings there, so it would be hard to get the sound of the horn too. There are a few nice crossings around Moorpark you could try too.
