HELLO FROM AUSTRALIA! Wow you really do have some amazing trout water over there. We have great trout fishing water here, but not a lot of it. Our trout fishing is marginal at best because out climate is so hot. I love trout fishing and hope to make it over there to fish a beautiful waterway like this one day.

***** Well since I've just completed my treatments I've only been fishing 1time. Caught 21 BLUEGILL on a cane pole. Had to sale all my tackle to take care of my girls while I couldn't work. Supposed to have people off some websites my brother contacted sending me stuff. But I won't hold my breath! Lol thanks for asking about my season and maybe we can meet up one day if I can get some rods and tackle back somehow! Have a blessed day

If you're doing catch and release with trout I really recommend sanding down the barbs on your hooks. It does lower the chance just a little bit of landing them but it helps out the species in the area. Good vid though!

Great video...nothing like small stream trout on spinners and spoons. I do have a couple of suggestions for you. First, you can cut off the treble hooks and replace them with single siwash hooks. You can also pinch down the barbs, making it much easier to remove the hook. needle nose pliers or forceps are also handy when the hook is deep.

Fun to see trout videos. I was just fishing some ponds by my house and caught some trout on corn weightless. Surprising they were there, I was trying for carp and I caught a carp when I was about to leave. But the odd thing is, I'm in the Midwest, so these are stocked trout that the people somehow haven't taken from the trout season. I would like to thank you for showing so much, tactics, gear, and fun xD. The funny thing is I'm allergic to fish xD

You should try trout fishing in SoCal. They stock up to 28 pound rainbow trout along with brown trout and lightning trout
@TheCariboucanuck8 жыл бұрын
great video, but ya, pinch the barbs if your going to release them or you can pretty much count on killing half the trout you put back because of overhandling and infection. Whats even better is the barbless hooks and landing your fish with a small net you can strap to your back. With the net there's no need to jerk the fish out of the water, reel in until the fish is a meter or two away, squat at the knees as you raise the rod high and guide the fish in to the net near the surface. Once you have him in there just wet your hands(handling trout with dry hands destroys a protective membrane on their skin which protects them from disease and infection), taking the barbless hook out is a breeze and then you can pick him up for a quick photo if you like. When you go to put him back hold him gently facing into the current for a few seconds to revive him and off he goes, startled but not harmed. Barbs rip skin cause infection and kill fish, if if that doesn't kill him it'll be the internal organ damage from you squeezing him while trying to get the hook out. Oh and trout like this are so much more fun on ultralight or light spinning gear, 10lb braided is huge overhill, 4lb mono is the way to go, nearly invisible for better presentation, and more precise casting.

@Jakestauch8 жыл бұрын
you should fish up river. and walk up river. that way you don't spook the big fish when walking down stream. and most bait flows down stream so they sit facing up stream waiting for bait to come to them.
