@jamesmarino83797 жыл бұрын
can you please fly fish i wish more people did it’s so much more fun. also in the winter they are eating flies that are very tiny and that’s how you will catch more fish the baits you were using were very big that’s why it was so hard to get them to bite.

I love fishing been fishing since I was three and now I’m 13 I love catching. Trout I now live in Virginia but use to live in Colorado Lol good times...ANYWAYS I. Here to answer your question Trout are incredibly sensitive And can sense the tiniest movement in the water also The conditions that the prefer are harder to find for a person Also there’s a saying that says that if u see the, they can see. U Hoped that helped Of u ever need more questions just ask. Me ! Or 1Rod

+1Rod I am an avid fly fisherman and also live here in MD - occasionally you will get a sparse midge hatch and they will rise, but for the most part I have found a midge (preferrably small (size 20 or smaller) with a small bead will work wonders. I have had great days high sticking those around here even on winter days. One time I fished for 30 minutes on my favorite stream for wild browns and caught two 12 inch fish on that midge setup - even much larger trout will take midges.

Great job, bro! Pretty impressive to be landing several rainbows on the Patuxent this time of year. Most stocked MD trout holes get cleaned out within days of stocking. The hold over population and the native trout will still bite, but it takes a lot more work and skill. I hit the Gunpowder a few times in the winter and can usually find some willing trout. Usually catch about a dozen fallfish and chubs for every one trout, though.

With trout. They’re very spooky fish. They startle very easily. Quiet down. You’re being really loud man. And don’t be as heavy footed. My wife and I will go an entire day of trout fishing without saying a word to eachother. You have to be a ninja with trout. Especially in streams because the sound travels in the shallow water. And around 12 mins in the video releasing trout throwing them like that is a no go. They’re very delicate fish. Set them down and let them swim out of your hand. Just trying to help👍🏼. Love your videos mike!

Sweet film. Ive never used a jig and waxy for trout in our stream. Will have to try it. Winter fishing is one of my favorites. There are two lures Id suggest but its what works in the creeks I fish in the Black Hills. Best lure is a brown trout colored Rapala Floater Size 3 or 5 fished up creek while gently popping while retrieving. Next is the Panther Martin size 2 or 4 in the all white with red circle on spinner. These two lures are crazy awesome for trout. But this is just in the small creeks of the Black Hills.
