Spring Truck Camping in the F150!

As someone who's gone from a Tacoma, to a Land Cruiser, and now currently tinkering with a 5.0 Lariat F-150, it's refreshing to see someone breaking the mold on the traditional 'overland' vehicle. Topper = gained cargo space, but an added expense and reduced gas mileage. Billie bars and Tonneau = sunk costs and the convenience of a truck bed when needed, but constantly playing packing Tetris. A never-ending game of trade-offs 🤪

Hope you can show us how you attached the slide to the truck bed in a future video. I have a slide I need to install in my truck bed and I'm nervous to drill holes in my bed. I'm willing to drill but I want to do it right.

We love our diesel heater! You should consider picking up one of the Coleman ovens. Hands down one of our all-time cooking devices. Not to mention it packs up small. Wonderful for doing reheats on leftovers. We also found a round Pyrex pie dish works the best. Of course, it's heavy and glass. Awesome for cooking biscuits, Tombstone pizzas, and cinnamon rolls..Ok I'll stop there getting hungry 😋 🛻+⛺️=🙂! Love your setup, I have a '21 w/6.5' bed. I'm trying to decide between a Smartcap and RTT, or just go for a Gofast camper (or similar). any thoughts since you have some experience with this stuff?

You can’t go wrong with either option. I would love to upgrade to either of those options. But my dream setup is a GFC for sure. By the time you buy a smart cap and a nice RTT you are already at the price point of a GFC so you might as well have the pass through feature and a slimmer profile

Guys I'm struggling to find a hard shell rooftop tent that can be mounted below the cab and doesn't take long to set up. Other than the one being ran here (23 zero A3) I have found the ikamper mini 3.0. does anyone have any other options? I park my 5.5ft truck in a low garage and I fear there isn't enough clearance to get it in the garage if I have to mount above the cab.

ikamper is a great option, they make great tents. You could also do the A2, X2 or X3 from 23 Zero depending on your needs. Happy to answer questions about any of them if you have any. 23 zero makes amazing tents but there are other great brands as well
