Can't wait to hear how the beet root latte and the scones were? Loved your footage of the old English landscape. So curvey! I live in Denmark, and it's so flat!

Thank you, the scones were lovely! Yes it’s very curved here in the south west - I used to imagine I could see the curve of the earth when I was younger 🤣 Denmark is very beautiful too 💕xx

I have to say that I really love your sofa fabric, it’s so pretty. Thanks for another great vlog; I hope you hands heel so you can get some crochet in as well as your reading. I read AC a lot - her stories and mystery writing are very comforting, I really like the audiobook versions as well. Thank you for the reviews, I wrote down a few to check out. Enjoy the summer!

Hello, thank you - the sofa is an ikea one, they’ve taken such a battering from children and animals so it’s lovely to be able to throw the covers in the washing machine when needed! I must try some audio Agatha Christie thank you! Hope you are well, sending love xx

I always have plenty of garlic chives in my garden so I’m inspired to chop them into scones now! Hope mine will look as delicious as yours. I saw Jamie Oliver using baking paper & he said to scrunch it up and run under the tap to wet it a bit, give it a shake and then it will easily fit flat into a baking pan, or on a tray. I always do this now & it makes using baking paper so much easier.

They were very tasty! Oh that’s a good tip, I always give baking paper a scrunch and it does help but have never heard of dampening it - I’ll definitely give that a try - thank you xx

Those buildings are amazing! I’m of convict stock so where I live there is nothing like that except a small replica way off in Ballarat. There isn’t even a decent yarn shop for hundreds of miles.

Australia’s history is rich in so many other ways, I always find it fascinating, but Gosh no yarn shop - I’m quite lucky to live so close to towns/cities that have lovely yarn shops. I’ve just googled Ballarat and it looks so vibrant and beautiful. Sending love 💕

your new "old" books are fantastic! I stopped buying books because I had way too many. The cover of " A pocket full of Rye" is mind-boggling and it is just the same cover of the Spanish translation that I read eons ago. Right now I'm reading Lucy Worsley's Agatha Christie, very enjoyable. The scones looked delicious, now I need to bake some too😘

Wonderful episode, so many beautiful things to see. Skipton woods was full of wild garlic last month, all frothy with white flowers, it looked like a woodland wedding was about to take place! Absolutely adored your vintage books, especially that bundle of Agatha Christie books from the car boot sale, such a bargain! What fabulous covers too and I know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover but I’m afraid I do and I don’t care! I have a collection of the old Agatha Christie paperbacks, I just love the cover artwork, some rather bizarre! I have a lovely old Peter Pan book with beautiful colour plate illustrations and pages edged with gold. I always look out for vintage children’s books and recently found a few Enid Blyton Secret Seven paperbacks from the 1970’s with great cover artwork. Keep sharing your joy, take care and have a wonderful June 🧶🧵🌸

Thank you, I was so happy with the Agatha Christie’s - I love those weird and wonderful 70s covers too! I am also prone to judging a book by its cover I can’t help myself 🤣 Sending love, Em 💕

I love the English villages and countryside. I think now that my children are all grown, the only thing keeping me from moving there is all the rain.

It is truly beautiful in Spring but it does rain a lot, this Spring was a particularly wet one. We had a late frost too which sadly has affected so many plants in the garden! I envy you the sun! ✨💕

Here in the States, we have , I think, something like your wild garlic, but we call it wild ramps. Very garlicky/ onion. It grows in the woods. When cooking ramps, you have to air out the house! Lol. They are very pungent. Your scones were beautiful. I will have to remember the dry mustard, and give that a try.
@Lululovescrochet
@Lululovescrochet Жыл бұрын
I had to google that… they do look very similar! The wild garlic here also only grows in wooded areas, at a certain time in Spring you can smell it even when you’re driving past the woods! Once it’s picked the smell isn’t so potent so it’s not too bad to cook with but tastes like a mix of onion and garlic. The scones were lovely and the mustard definitely added to the flavour - i’ll definitely be making them next spring too. Sending love 💕

Thank you for sharing! I hope the goodie bag of art items works out. The opening scenery was stunning! I wish we had things like that on this side of the pond. I finished reading Murder at Styles and Murder on the Orient Express earlier this month. I quite enjoy Agatha Christie.

Carol Shields and Alice Munroe!!! My favorites, along with Barbara Kingsolver, I've read all their books. Carol Shields wrote a book about Jane Austin, i think it's out of print, but i was excited to see there is an audio version. I used to read 3-5 books a week, it now takes me 3 weeks to read one, my eyesight is so poor. Your scones looked so yummy! Thank you for another beautiful vlog Emma, xo

Oh that’s so good to know - thank you! I’ve really enjoyed finding some new authors to explore! I read The Poisonwood Bible years ago and enjoyed it but I haven’t read any of Kingsoliver’s so will definitely look out for more.. they are very popular at the library I know that! Sending love 💕
