Placed an XdM 10mm on layaway about a week ago. At what point is the gun considered purchased? Would I have to have it off layaway by the end of the month or should it count the date it was first placed on layaway? I'm planning on getting it out within the next 30 days.

@@WAAAAAM39 sorry for late response. I got my range pack fairly quickly. Yes the promo includes the hellcat pro. I loove it. I have taken it to the range twice and I have no complaints. I have shot over 100 rounds so far. Sights are wonderful. The white U and hi viz make a great contrast. The grip makes handling easy. The kick is not bad. That baby does sound off though lol. No regrets at all. It would make a great EDC. The 3 extra mags are a great plus. That dual range bag is perfect. It has plenty of space and made of good durable material. It has 6 slots for clips, 2 sides for your pistol(s). Its easy to fit 2 in both sides. Has a space for ID cards so its a steal.

Anyone know what size the free mags are for the XDS 9mm? They did a similar promotion in 2018 and they sent 3x 8rd mags. Wondering if it's any different this time around (no pun intended). I hope it's 3x 8rd again, since they're my fave size. That would give me a total of 2x 7rd, 6x 8rd, and 2x 9rd total XDS Mags! I have a 2018 XDS 9mm Mod.2 that I purchased when it came out. I like it so much, I just bought an almost identical model, this time with an optic cut that is going to have a Holosun HS507K riding atop the slide with a DPP adapter plate.

@@brendend2982 I'm glad someone replied to this because I wanted to update the XDS mag info, but I couldn't find the comment until I just got email notification of a reply, so thanks...lol! I emailed Springfield Armory at an address related to the Gear Up 2022 promotion and asked about the type of mags sent out for those who purchased XDS 9mm models. They replied back within 48 hours and said that they are shipping 1x 7rd and 2x 8rd mags, along with the free range bag. I only use the 7rd mags for carry in the gun since they're a bit shorter and lighter and the pinky grip is very well done. I carry the 8rd mags as extra mags, but the 9rd are just range mags for me...a little too bulky otherwise. I wish they were still giving out 3x 8rd, but I guess it probably depends on their stock levels and the XDS isn't a best seller anymore. I think it's only hanging on in the product line because they were able to add an optic cut, remove the tactile loaded chamber indicator, and move the rear dovetail back pretty easily to breathe some new life into the design. Even with limited capacity, I love mine and I've always liked the XDS Mod.2 trigger. I just put an Apex trigger in the new one and the trigger is even better! I was going to keep the older one stock, but that Apex is so sweet, I may have to splurge on another. I think I may even try to find one with the 4" barrel and optic cut, before they end up discontinuing it. I just finished installing the Night Fision Stealth Optics Night Sights and a Holosun HS507K on a DPP Titanium adapter plate. The combination is even better than lower 1/3 co-witness...the dots sit perfectly on the bottom edge of the optic window. Without the adapter plate, the sights would be higher, but I like them right where they're at. I thought I might have my slide milled for direct attachment, but not now.

I sent this to customer support but I would just like to know why the 1911 or the sa-35 series pistols were not included in the event? I could understand because met gar makes the magazines for the sa-35 why perhaps it's not included because it would cost Springfield and arm and a leg. That being said in years past and this year yet again the 1911 owners have been excluded and yet we spend upwards of $1,000 on your 1911s. I love it; it's the best gun in my collection by far even if it's not the most expensive. I have plenty and plenty of magazines. An entire drawer of them as a matter of fact so I'm not some cheapo trying to get free s***. I just feel like 1911 owners and sa35 owners being excluded is an unfair aspect of the promotion. Maybe it would cost Springfield a little extra money but I think it would go a long way in earning customer loyalty because I will not buy another Springfield product again. I'm not going to go boycotting and selling off my guns from you guys as I love them but I will not purchase a new gun in the future either. I don't know if Springfield will support it like they do their other guns or not. This may not seem like a big deal but considering I purchased on average 6 firearms a year and spend over $10,000 on them I would say you're losing a pretty good customer and there are many like myself. This is a huge slap in the face to anybody who bought a non-striker fire weapon and it doesn't make any sense. Does Springfield care to publicly explain this? Why this decision was made?
