I had the same issue. I purchased the small grip frame and it did resolve the issue with the mag release for me. Just an FYI, great video

Found you from a comment on Patriot CNC about the comp. The comment stated there was video of the comp in use. I'll look to see if I can find that. Got an Echelon in trade this afternoon that has this comp and a similar mag well installed. Not overly familiar with Springfield pistols. Nice looking piece. Off to find the shooting video!

@@Swampytheroot sorry I can post a short real quick if that would help you it is probably the best shooting striker fire polymer pistol I have ever shot and the comp just makes it shot that much flatter I’ll use your comment to make a short Early on I had a lot of videos of me shooting it with the comp or shorts at least and I got a bit discouraged and deleted everything but started back up

Honestly the weight makes for a better shooting experience. But honestly I hardly notice it with it being a polymer frame still much lighter than a 1911
