I love the P365. It is my EDC. I've found 'the one' for me! I'm not worried about sights in the dark as you are going to be close range in a defensive situation. Front sight, front sight, front sight.

From the start the p365 looked like it had less recoil, quicker on target time . Before I even got to the end of video, Sig was the clear winner. Lower axis bore ratio.

The Hellcat actually works, the P365 doesn't. The P365 is more like my ex girlfriend, also small, pointy ass, skinny, very expensive, not worth the money, not reliable, works only when she wants, super picky what she eats (ammo), high maintenance, thinks she's the center of the universe. I don't miss her at all.

I went to buy the Hellcat. I rented the Hellcat and the Sig P365 and shot them side by side. I went home with the Sig P365. The Hellcat has what I call the Glock .40 sting from the web of my hand down to the palm. The Sig P365 was softer to shoot and faster followup shots.

@Dqalex - Wow, you really think the Hellcat is like a Glock in .40 cal? LOL! You must have soft hands or don't know how to hold micro pistols, hold with a thumbs forward grip with the beaver tail tightly snugged up the middle of your shooting hand webbing, torque your arms inward hard, use full 100% grip with both hands and roll the trigger steady, I guarantee you those micro 9mm pistols will hardly move when shooting and you'll feel soft recoil. I've put thousands of rounds through both Hellcat and P365 as well as G43, G43x, Shield, P938 and their snappiness feels about the same, but the muzzle flip is slightly less with the Hellcat. The Hellcat felt very tamed, soft and I was shooting the Hellcat much faster with a slightly tighter spread from 7 to 35 yards. Come on snowflakes, it's a 9mm for god's sake, not a .40 or 357 Sig. Shoot about 500 rounds of 10mm ammo through a Glock 29. That will put some hair on your balls and that "snappy" little "weeny 9mm" Hellcat will feel like it's shooting a .22 cartridge. ;)

@Dqalex - Btw, the Glocks in .40 have no sting. They're like a hot loaded 9mm but for a .40 they're very soft shooters. I think if you also shoot some .357 magnums revolvers in a 4 inch or 3 inch barrel, that would help you deal with the "sting" of a .40 and 9mm......

My wife was looking for a carry 9mm. We looked at the Sig P365 and she liked the way it felt in her hand. After we bought it, we put about 150 rounds through it so far and it is a smooth shooting gun. We're debating on getting the extended magazines for it. I agree, it is a great gun for everyday carry.

I have XL hands, and the P365 feels comfortable, even though my fingers wrap farther around than on larger handguns. The trigger is also closer than I'm accustomed to, but I'm willing to practice with it to get familiar. I was able to essentially double capacity in a smaller package, switching from a Walther PPS .40 cal. I haven't handled the Hellcat, but don't feel any need to since I have the P365.

I thought I’d hate the P365. I’ve got large hands & long fingers. Also, I’m not very experienced with 9mm. But at the range it took only 5 or 6 mags before I was nailing it at 7 yds....then at 15 yds. Now we’re like peas & carrots....she’s my new girl. BTW....my only gripe was due to the night sights. They went dim after only 9-10 months. However I returned & SIG made it good. I’m happy!

For me its the Hellcat but i normally carry my Taurus 856 or kahr cm9, or ruger lcp2. Will add the hellcat into the rotation with my Bersa Thunder Plus. I have only 2 weeks per year when i can wear something besides cuttoffs and a muscle shirt here in hot humid florida. otherwise its the smallest and easiest to conceal thing i can find which is usually a pocket gun like the lcp2.

Climbing trees when I was a kid made my fingers long. On full size pistols thumbs forward, index finger rides below the slide,middle finger for trigger. Other side, index wrapped around front of trigger guard. That's how I ride Good Patriot family. Recommending for my sister to view. Thank you folks!

Thanks for the video and both your thoughts on them. Recently I went into my LGS and got to look at both of those. I held both one in each hand for a side by side comparison. I also tried the trigger on both of them. For me I chose the Hellcat based on I preffered the grip, sights, and trigger. The Sig was a close second on all of those though. I also own a Ruger EC9. To me the Sig grip was very similar to the Ruger grip in how it felt in my hand. I almost bought both the Hellcat and the Sig. I may yet go back and buy the Sig anyway. Both were the same price of $519, not bad for my area.

Nice video, my son bought the Sig P365 and I purchased the Springfield hellcat, you’re right about a little hard kick with the hellcat, they both shoot well they’re both perfect for concealed carry which I do on a daily basis, and I do like the 13 and 1 and I carry the extra mag Which holds 11,That is a lot of ammo for a conceal carry for such a small firearm

IMO far too much attention is given to trigger reset. If you're trying to limit trigger travel, you're likely to short stroke the action in rapid fire. Which is most likely what you'll be doing in a defensive encounter. Better to let the trigger go full length each shot. It works just fine on revolvers and autos.

I carry the P365 and bought one for my wife. We just got back from the range today and she loves it. It's a new gun so the action was a little tough but that'll ease with use. IMO, for conceal carry, it's the best option.

Just a detail. The tactile comfort of the surface might be of different importance when you are shooting on the range or in real life threatening situations. In the later case, it might not be important if the surface feels slightly unpleasant, if the grip is better in sweaty hands.

I’m a small female (5’3” 120lbs) and a first time gun buyer just getting into home defense and concealed carry. My FFLD strongly recommended me the Hellcat so I went with that, haven’t gotten to pick it up and shoot her yet, I go in a few days. Will do concealed carry class same day I pick it up and do some range time. Your review was awesome and very helpful. I enjoy seeing women in gun videos because our perspectives on things can be different. I grew up snowboarding and things that mattered to me and effected how I rode would be different than my guy friends I’d ride with. Pumped for this gun! I’m thinking about getting used to it then renting a P365 just for comparisons, worst case I’ll own one of each :) thanks for the videos ladies! I’ll take any beginner advice anyone can dish out (I have shot guns before, just not consistently and never an owner).

I just want to say its awesome to see a woman's perspective on this stuff from women shooters! I taught my daughter to shoot when she was 11 and am waiting for her to rejoin the family, as i have a couple of carry handguns for her to choose from when she gets her carry permit. She has has wondered off the range and decided we arent family anymore. Tough when i was a single parent and we were close now tougher as a grandparent and cant see the grand-kids.

It would be nice to have seen a comparison of paper targets ,to see if there was any difference in shot groups between the two guns . 15 yds draw and rapid fire till the mag is empty ; reflex shooting to get a good comparison of performance. 👍

I have both. Agree with most of what you said. However, the Hellcat I have is much more reliable than the P365. I had a lot of problems with P365 and none with Hellcat. Hellcat has a triangular striker that is more robust. That is why I carry the Hellcat. Reliability trumps comfort on a edc pistol every time.

The Hellcat has done well through testing. I hear the Sig has some issue come up after a lot of rounds go through it but they worked that out with the Sig P365XL.

I have a Springfield XD9 Mod.2 that is a joy to shoot so I'm a little partial to the Hellcat even though I've not shot it yet. Shot the P365 and fell in love with it. I don't have enough money to buy the Sig just yet so I'm thinking about trading my XD9 for it. What do you think?

Pinky Pinch, I rented the P365 and the Hellcat. The P365 shot great but felt a little small. The Hellcat felt good and the recoil was a little harder. I have watched dozens of videos on these guns and you are the first to mention "pink pinch". I put a box of 50 through the Hellcat with the pinky extension and it pinched the crap out of my pinky. After shooting it I noticed a small gap between the frame and the mag and little play in the mag. I like the feel of the Hellcat but that Pinch I think will be a deal breaker.

I love my P365, had it for a year now. I got to hold the Hellcat, not shot it yet, I like the sights better in the daylight but the P365 would be much better at night. Thanks gals. :-)
