Springhill is a town located in Hernando county about 1 hour north of Tampa, Florida. Springhill is notorious for sinkholes. Back in 2014, a sinkhole took out a whole street affecting several houses. Because of this real estate can be found relatively cheap compared to the average costs. Watch me drive around this town, and stay tuned to the end for Weeki Wachee springs.

The classic film, Flipper, was mostly filmed in Weeki Wachi, except for the underwater scenes (although I could be wrong about that). The young boy who befriended the dolphin, Luke Halpin, was a native Long Islander. This served him well, since he beat out a lot kids for the part because of his affinity for water. After that, he gave up acting & went to work in Hollywood's scenery department.
