Soon as it's nice out I'll be making the 30 min drive north to metal detect the shore, as well as look for arrowheads.

I live in Western Massachusetts and was helping my mother in the backyard digging a fire pit and we found an nice stone arrowhead that could be up to 13,000 years old.. We also found a few old old medicine vials made of glass.. Massachusetts is a great place for history

@@williammoody7508 I'm watching all of them now. I must relook at rocks I've picked up along the shores.

Great video bill! I like the materials breakdown, and budreaus book is by far the most useful resource I’ve seen

William Moody also do you have any spots that you’ve hunted on Nantucket because I’m there rite now and want to hunt for something! Or any tips would be great as I hunt in the mountains so I have no clue what to look for.
@williammoody75086 жыл бұрын
The White Wolf I haven’t hunted on Nantucket. But I would try sling the shoreline of any ponds or inlets on the island. Also any places where a creek might enter a pond or exit into a bay or inlet. Good luck!

Thanks for the book recommendation, I’m going to get myself a copy of Jeff’s book! Are there any other related books you recommend?

kgeitzel Start with that book. It’s packed with useful information and hundreds of color photos!

Ok, I bought the quick reference guide but saw that there was also an expanded edition.. I live in New England too and found this probable fish weir in CT and would love to hear your thoughts on it! I made a short video on it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJfFZal9YsuWm9U

kgeitzel The expanded edition is the one to get. It has so much more information, details, photos, etc. It’s the culmination of a lifetime of work by Boudreau. If you have only one book on New England archaeology, this is the one to have! The quick reference guide is one you can carry around with you. So, you could easily have both. I do!
