I faced your same situation not too long ago too, I had my AU all planned out since 2019 but I realized that I've practically spent a majority of my time trying to reach something I wasn't ready for yet, and I couldn't focus on other things, but now that I've abandoned the AU, I can now do my stuff freely now without being limited to trying to put it into a story. Can't wait to see more from you Spring Ward.

I feel your pain, I also tried to make an au a long time ago, and the problems I had were the same as yours, your style and quality of animation is not forgotten, and although it also hurts me, I am glad that you are free of that "burden" , SOMETIMES it even feels like a job you don't want to be in, but it was a fun trip and your animations were (and still are) amazing, we will always be here to support you! the mask scenes at the start has to be one of the absolute best put together scenes i'll ever see in my life, 1:34 through 1:55 was my favorite, it feels like a long movie's credit scene at the end. i cant express how much i love this in all.

I like the animation at the beginning, I know they are fragments from other videos, but I like to think that it is a farewell sign for "The mask". The song always evoked in me a feeling of a story ending. How is it that whatever the hand that was taking Afton's mask on this occasion seems to consider taking the mask, instead of the song ending there, leaving you with an intrigue of what happened, go on, see Vannesa close the bookcase and burning what seemed to contain Glitchtrap, the Afton house that would appear in "The mind electric" empty and alone, the Sister location elevator, as if all the characters decided to end their stories instead of continuing, with small glimpses of what could have been, everything ends without a conclusion, but at the same time maintaining closure to the videos that you did manage to upload. Surely it is not the right thing to do, but I like to interpret it that way, an unfinished story that awaits a complete plot closure that will never come. Thank you for these incredible SpringWard animations, we will wait as long as necessary to see more of your fantastic work now that you have taken off the weight that was your AU ♤♤♤♤

Dude, any project you have in mind with making, I'm on board. I get it, making an AU project on its own can be very exhausting and things really change over time. Since a long time ago, I had this idea for an AU of FNAF that was basically "let's make a sequel story to FNAF, now that the story is over!" It came to me by the time Pizzeria Sim and UCN were released: I thought of a story that could be an AU, but also could happen at the same time as HW and the like came about. It's a basic AU: after PizzaSim, Freddy's rebrands and a new wave of murderous animatronics comes about because of someone refusing to move on. The rest is history. Then, came Help Wanted and much later Security Breach... and I noticed while I was going one direction, FNAF itself was going a completely different one. Now, I changed the ideas for the story... again. I scrapped even Pizza Sim and Sister Location and I'm making it based on and after the events of the first four games alone (added clues from Silver Eyes and FNAF World). That managed to revitalize an interest in the story for me, but it's not like I have the same time and while the story itself has remained the same in theme, most characters and structure, many things had to change. In summary, yeah: it's hard. I'm not even trying to animate, all I do is write ideas down; imagine if I did try that! I'm getting busy with stuff when what I have is college, family and social life; I cannot think of the slog of animating so much amazing stuff. Get into whatever you want dude. You got the spark in you; whatever you try to do with it, you'll be great... and I'll be here for the ride. Godspeed, Spring Ward!

I had a feeling that this video would announce the cancellation of the AU, and even with that, it is still sad to know that is the case. As someone who created a FNaF AU of his own, I can understand the reasons behind this decision. It is difficult to dedicate time to a large scale project like this, especially when you have a life outside of KZbin. Even though my AU is still active, it has been making very slow progress. And holy dang, 6 full animations. Yeah no, I wouldn’t take that challenge (My Hide and Seek animation is taking a while to get done, so 1 full animation is already enough for me XD). And yeah, it was also going to be difficult when it comes to integrating SB in your AU when the game feels different from what you’ve originally envisioned. And of course, the over complication of projects. I too have dealt with that, and thankfully I was able to trim down the project to what it currently is today. Also, I was initially confused on the audience topic, but I think I now understand. Basically you don’t feel like making stuff for people to catch up with. With all of that said, yeah, it is sad to see this AU canceled, but it is a smart decision. I’m glad you’re focusing on your well being, not to mention that you seem more excited to work on new projects which is awesome. So yeah, best of luck moving forward (I know this is a long aaa comment, but I hope you do read through it all haha). Also, these animated scenes look super freaking awesome.

Don’t fret about your comment’s length, it’s stated perfectly. 👍 You’ve got yourself a point. Even though it’s a little saddening to see such a project I’ve worked on close off (I’ve talked with some folks about it), I hope that this doesn’t squander the motivation that other folks have upon their own AUs. To anyone reading, if you’re out there still wanting to make, or are currently making an AU over Fnaf, you have videos, ideas and stories to share, you should still go for it!! :D For me personally, I’ve had very specific and significant factors play into the cancellation of my AU- factors that Im sure if applied to someone else- wouldn’t actually hinder their motivation too much. 👀 everyone reacts differently I believe, and thus for me, it was simply and plainly too much for my brain to handle 💃 I’ve checked your works here and there, and time and time again I see the intricate detail you put into your AU videos and community posts- not to mention the 2D art too, that’s always a plus to see 🤩 You’ve cared a ton for your AU Sky, and I hope this announcement of mine didn’t hinder how you viewed your AU as well, because it seems you have a good gig going on :D I think my main advice for folks including you is; If there’s ever a time you’re feeling forcefully obligated to sacrifice time for the AU, time that you think can be spent on something better for you, always take a break when need be. It’s your channel, your Au, and your life. You can do whatever you want with it. 🧸 (And no Yeah I agree, 6 TOTAL ANIMATIONS!! What was my naive brain thinking 🤯 I still have the playlist for the 6 songs I wanted to animate specifically for the mask, and literally most of them reach the 3:00+ minute mark 😭)
