Excellent explanation. I had to listen to a few others until I found this one. Thank you and keep up the good work.

OMG thank you! Ours did not come with a manual and the quick reference guide has very little detail. This was so helpful!

Thank you for this explanation. Can you tell me how to shut my 4th zone (? "station"). I'm having construction done and this zone will need to be moved after the construction is finished. Meanwhile, I want zones 1, 2 and 3 to run as programed. Thank you.

You reduce the minutes to 0 for that zone alone. Make sure you take note of the current setting so you can return the programming to normal afterwords. Another option would be to disconnect the wire from the #4 slot on the board. Simply reconnect after construction is completed.

How do you use this controller to bleed or force water out to fhe system by compressed air ?
@cupchanger4 жыл бұрын
First you have to have a compressor large enough to provide enough air to force the water out. You shut the system supply down, connect to the sprinkler main line with your compressor hose( often connected to the backflow preventer, if there is one). Once the system is pressured with air you run a test for 1 or 2 minutes for each valve, or you turn them on manually at each sprinkler valve. If you have a backflow preventer, blowing air through it may not be enough to winterize it, and it is not recommended. If you have questions about backflow preventers you can watch the videos provided from Backflow Supply.

What if I can't get the arrows to work
@cupchanger7 ай бұрын
That usually means the clock is going bad, or at least the faceplate is. If it is new enough to have a wifi module you may be able to access the programming online. Otherwise you may be stuck getting a new clock.

Does a new clock mean replacing the whole box I found one on Amazon for 129.00 but don't know how to wire it
@cupchanger7 ай бұрын
Most likely you will have to replace the whole box. I can’t diagnose since I am not there, so I could be wrong.

I have 11 zones which I want to run 2 times per week for an hour each. I only want 3 zones to run per day so I'm not watering all day long. How do I set this up?
@cupchanger5 жыл бұрын
You will have to set up multiple programs. That is why it has a toggle switch that says A,B,C. You will have to run through all the steps for each program. Adding the same zone on multiple programs might cause that particular zone to water more than one time in a single night. I would be happy to help you through email if you need more info. precipmate@gmail.com this is the email I use to answer questions and support persons such as yourself. For additional info on other sprinkler related topics you can visit sprinklersystemcalculator.com or Precip-Mate on Google play. Why would you begin watering at 1 AM?
@cupchanger5 жыл бұрын
The time you begin watering depends on your climate and your water supply (how long will it take to get through your program). If you live in an area that is hot and doesn't have a problem with disease it's best to start as early in the evening as possible. If you are in an area that has problems with disease, you will want to water in the morning. Most areas tend to have less pressure in the morning and that can affect your watering efficiency.
