I really enjoyed watching Daryn in the Heffner 27. Was even happier when he got back to the Outlaws full time. Always been a talented driver.

Pittman shares a birthday (August 29th) with Micheal Jackson. A man who wore 1 glove and sang *BEAT IT!* Name somebody who was more uncomfortable in their own skin than Micheal Jackson. Neither was Pittman. He flat-out could not handle those ugly white Great Clip wheels. Pittman's white wheel performance tanked. And never came back. Sweet took over as Kahne's #1 driver and Pittman steadily regressed until retirement. Statistical fact. Virgo males take 3 times more showers /baths than the average human being. Try as they may, they just can't wash it off.

1:01:56 Regarding the Jason Johnson *_"incident"_* (fatal crash). Pittman saying people start to forget. I don't like that statement. Least of all, coming from him. Tell it like it is. Pittman & Johnson got together. Pitman fed Johnson a RR. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4uVmXSvprCUfZY. Certainly not as blatant as say ... Stewart & Ward Jr. But a catch fence doesn't save Johnson @ Beaver Dam. Safer barriers might have. Tension between Pittman & Johnson in the races leading up to that crash were testy to say the least. Johnson's driving had become much more aggressive. Case in point. June 8, 2018, Jackson Motorplex. Track is lightning fast. Pittman has a 10-car-length lead going into turn 3. In clean air. I think you're missing Daryns point or at least how I interpreted it regarding "people start to forget". In other words, at the time of the incident, everyone was all for bringing safety to the forefront, as time has passed, people seem to forget, not Jason, but the continuing growth of safety since Jason's incident.

@@ryanc6568 Okay. You might be right. If so, I'd suggest Daryn choose his words more carefully, when speaking about Johnson, at least. Elliott annoys the hell out of me. Why bring up facility safety, and talk about it 15 minutes, without mentioning what those safety improvements might be? If a track has an outer wall, stacked aluminum guard rail (Like Knoxville & Jackson Motorplex) with railroad ties to support them is the best way to go. The amount of give with Peck's left side impact was all the proof you need. Far superior to a short concrete wall with a catch fence on top of it. I was at the Topeka Fairgrounds in 1964 the night Ken Williams dumped in front of the grandstands. A 4" dia. metal fence post went completely through Ken's torso. Completely impaled Ken with the car hanging up there. For all to clearly see. I remember the announcer asking .... *_Is there a doctor in the house?_* Ken's brother, Tiger Bob Williams, was racing that night. He pulled the post out of Ken's body. That which other first responders couldn't seem to do. btw: I saw the house on fire. I called the Fire Department. I'm the 1st responder, *DAMN IT!*

When Daryn said "people start to forget" I feel he was talking about how people tend to allow tragedies to fade into the background and eventually forget about it until the next tragic event happens.
