I have never in all my years going and watching racing been so emotionally involved with a racehorse as with sprinter sacre. Will be missed on the track but what he did during his career will never be repeated and thankfully is well enough to enjoy his twilight years unlike vautour

Along with Frankel, probably the only horse in my lifetime that on his day was racing in a league of his own, another level. Whilst all the best champions have the form and the honors list, there are very few that leave you speechless.

That was the word I was thinking of! The only two In my mind that when they went to "win a race" it was over in a matter of seconds, regardless of opposition, because there wasn't any that could even compete. That level of brilliance!

I was there in 2013 and it was one of the greatest performance of all time,I admit I wanted him to be retired how wrong we all were,his win at cheltenham 2016 was one of the best moments in my sporting life,I shook hands with nicky henderson one hour after the race and I believe even then he could not quite believe it

I was lucky enough to watch him in person at cheltenham in march 2013 beating sizing europe by a street. what happened after that is nothing short of a miracle, true blessing from nature that horse.

I remember they used to say if you can get sprinter off the bridle he will find nothing during his prime. When his legs got older and things wasn’t as easy as they once was, he found nothing but guts balls and an unmatched determination off the bridle. The greatest jumps horse of all time

Fantastic two miler, no doubt, but we should also consider Badsworth Boy. Three time Champion Chaser, the only triple winner. Won by 30+ lengths in his first Champion then by ten lengths in his two other wins.

Still come back to thiS! Hendo always has 1 superstar from SS he went on to Altior, Shiskin(early days) and the best may well be in training in Constitution Hil considering what he done to State Man, time will telll. Is the next one Sir Gino? Time will tell but hes very highly regarded.

I adore this horse, but can't help thinking about what Spirit Son might have achieved in his lifetime. A sad outcome but his potential was ridiculous in terms of the horses he competed against in Sprinters Supreme novice hurdle. He beat Sprinter and Cue Card, only failed to beat Al Ferof who was a year older. Then smashed Cue Card and Rock on Ruby at Aintree by 13 + 8 lengths!

Great horse, but one of nico’s best rides that last one, just sent him round the bend, took ruby by surprise and you won’t catch a champion horse like that once he gets 5 lengths on you

Nicky Henderson has got another one that I think is gonna be at least as good. Altior. He's that good that IMO he shouldn't bother with The Arkle and go straight for The Champion Chase and take on Douvan. What a race it would be. I see that Altior is now 2nd favourite for The Champion Hurdle with a run. Well if he does run in it. He'll win it
