It's possible to get onto Sonic's path for Carnival night Zone Act 2 fight that zone's boss as Knuckles, but it's really difficult to get to it. The people making the game knew it was possible, too; the machine is being controlled by EggRobo if Knuckles fights it, just like the other bosses.

1) Yes, that's the case. He can't jump as high, but he has other abilities to compensate. 2) It's a rouge Egg-Robo robot. Knuckles doesn't face Robotnik at all, outside a glitch in Sonic and Knuckles.

VERY nicely done. I really like that you did not use Super/Hyper. I don't like when people use those on runthroughs like this because it doesn't tell you anything. The Hydrocity main boss is very difficult as Knuckles. You made it look...easier :)

@Nitrometutorials That depends on what system you're playing it on, and if you aren't playing it on the original Megadrive/Genesis, then it depends on what collection you're playing. On the original console you need a copy of Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles, and lock the two carts onto each other. Otherwise it's usually listed as "Sonic 3 and Knuckles" on the different compliations. If you're playing the Ultimate Genesis Collection, you're out of luck.

Actually in Sonic and Tail's ending, it shows a lone Eggrobo (The one Knuckles fights) rising from a pile of dead Eggrobo's. My guess is that he wanted to carry out Eggman's mission, or he was in cahoots with Mecha Sonic

KZbin has a framerate cap at 24fps, you can get it higher but it sacrifices video quality in the extreme.

@IainStudios Knuckles' story in S3K is chronologically after sonic's. When sonic defeated Robotnik in the Doomsday Zone his plans were ruined but Egg Robo (the same badnik as in Sky Sanctuary) took the master emerald. Hence Egg Robo is knuckles boss (except for flying battery where you face Robotnik - presumably due to a glitch)

You can glide into Big Arms, which makes hitting him easier as you have a more accurate angle of decent. But since Knuckles jumps so low he struggles against the big tall Laser Shooting Boss.

On knuckles story the bosses and game is slightly tougher then usual meaning that the bosses take a couple more hits to kill and some of the bosses have 1 or 2 new attacks that are slightly harder to avoid

the thing about the knuckles bosses is that they're significantly more difficult, for example : Fire-Breath would usually use the flamethrower attack then fly vs sonic, but vs knuckles however, he shoots 3 payload bombs and does the flamethrower...

Actually there is an additional place where you can hit the Egg Arm. When he drops down from the sky, he pops up briefly before levelling off below the stage. While popping up it is possible to spindash into him, getting an additional hit.

I haven't missed it. You aren't supposed to fight it. Since you can't fight it outside of a glitch or using Debug mode I didn't record it. These two videos are specifically only the bosses Knuckles are supposed to encounter. This was done so I wouldn't recieve constant messages of "OMG KNCUX CNT FIGT THAT HCKER". I will be doing the "missing" bosses at a later date, I haven't gotten round to recording it yet.

One time in Carnival Night Zone as Knuckles, I actually somehow glitched the game and it let me fight Sonic's boss, by climbing up the tube that Sonic normally goes up. It tries not to let you do it, so I had to keep jumping up and using the wall cling...it was years ago so I forget. Anyhoo, that's first time I saw that boss. I only ever got past Carnival Night as Knuckles, until I figured out the infamous Barrel of Doom as Sonic...yeah, you know what I mean. x.x

That's Eggman's Egg Robo and the toughest of its series. Robotnik built him to try to kill off Knux with having to expose his villanous nature. There are other, weaker versions of him that sport jetpacks and weird "long"-range laser guns in Sonic/Tails' version of the "Sky Sanctuary Zone".

knuckles's bosses are harder than Sonic's because the machine has another attack or harder to hit since knuckles can only glide and sonic has that shield attack thing

When Sonic 3 is combined with Sonic and Knuckles, you play Sonic 3's stages first. This is because the Sonic and Knuckles stages are abnormally hard.

Knuckles and Sonic have different paths and bosses in Marble Garden. There's a breakable column set that you cannot break as Sonic, but you can as Knuckles that leads to his boss. I've tried, bringing the spinning top that breaks the regular breakable columns to it and nothing happens. Knuckles path in act 2 goes up, Sonic's goes down. The split/junction is right there's this hill with the spinny top, and you ride it and breaks the floor, making it so you can't go back up.

^bohemiandude75 No, that was wrong. After Sonic's storyline in S&K, Knuckles gets revenge on Robotnik. Since Robotnik is tired from the fight with Sonic, he sent his Eggrobo to hurt Knuckles.

I greatly enjoyed the Adventure games when I was younger, but I don't think they've aged well, Adventure 2 seems to have aged worse than Adventure though. They're still good, but not as good as they were when first released. Colours and Generations are both pretty damn fantastic.

It is possible to fight the Graviton mobile as Knuckles (I did it once) but it's tricky and a little frustrating getting to it. Also, to answer everyone's questions, that's not Eggman, it's Eggrobo,.

Nathan Snyder Because it was Knuckles playing. I'm not sure if this was deliberate or not, but it always happens if you fight in Knuckles' boss arena. If either gets in the other arena, you get the other music. (IE Robotnik/Eggrobo music if Knuckles gets in Sonic's area, for example.)
