Yes, and all core knowledge i telled to catequil not showing here totally. and catequil speaking a lot about adapts to terrain that are compiletely NOT the purpose the suspension of Shchenok designed for............!!!!!!
@medbyhi51143 жыл бұрын
Break down the complex motion that disturb a tank to 3 types of motions: [1] Adapts to the terrain: NO temporal feature, from A to B statically cause chaging in angle. [2] Swing: low frequency. [3] Shaking: high frequency. Damping means to slow the free movement of suspension, that helps ceasing the swing, however, because the shaking are high frequency vibration, Damping convey and enlarge the Shaking. So, a Critical Damping that scientificly best for cease the swing, always be way too hard for not cause shaking to a issue. *A damping that proper for Firing on the Move is the minimal damping but just enough to not allow swing continues too long* And it is return rollers help absorbing the high frequency shaking, that make stability for firing on the move achieved. This is how i engineering the Shchenok. the Suspension of shchenok are designed for being stable, very bad but just enough for adapt to terrain, so it is he does not understand at all: being stable is completely another topic from what he talks.

Swing means low frequency "Simple Harmonic Motion" like motion, that just Law of inertia on a spring, totally not what he said at 16:26, it is powered to up and downs and it repeat like at a frequency only because the terrain repeats.
@YoRHaAttackerNo23 жыл бұрын
Nitpick: Dampening is not how much the suspension wants to return to the neutral position (That's torque.) Dampening is the suspension resisting being in motion. That means if it's set to rest at 20° and your suspension is at 15°, your torque is trying to push it to 20° and your dampening is trying to keep the current angle it's setting at (15° in this frame. This changes through time.) [Edit] One last one: Center of mass didn't shift. It simply extended beyond the point of contact.
@YoRHaAttackerNo23 жыл бұрын
@Medb YHI I get what you're saying. 1. Changes in terrain (and the angle that the tank changes to) isn't the purpose of the suspension. That is very much true and only TRUE gun stabilization can do this through the use of Gyroscopic systems. 2. Low frequency, predictable oscillation (Swing): This is where the damping works best as it can bring the relatively stable oscillation to zero without overshoots or the like. 3. High frequency, unpredictable movement (Shaking): The damping doesn't work as well here and you used the wide and high amount of return rollers to attenuate those motions. (Can't entirely say how it works myself but I assume it's to do with the fact that its a relatively static mass, making it harder for shaking to influence?) [Edit] You're managing the swing with the dampening, managing the shaking and the recoil of firing with the return rollers because dampening absolutely can't deal with both shaking and swing.

Has anyone actually taken 1 of these tanks with the fuel barrels everywhere into combat? I tried it twice now and IMHO they look better than they function. You get a free hit but the fireball blocks your vision until you get hit again and again... Anyone else have better results using them?

Even as stable as the gun is, it wont help you keep perfectly on target with an enemy tank. You also have to take into account how the tank youre engaging is angled and judge were to shoot to penetrate. Shooting on the move is still unpractical anyway. Not only that, your suspension should be made to improve your tank handling, not your gun handling.
