I agree with you 1000% about how promising these cultivated products are for saving animals and reducing immense suffering! Interestingly, I don’t want to eat them myself but it is not about my preferences but rather about the animals and environment and antibiotic resistance and about things like E. coli and salmonella, etc. The potential pluses are huge.

I tried Brave Robot ice cream and it is delicious just too expensive where I live. It was the pecan flavor amazing. Love your videos ❤️❤️❤️

So you may not know this, but how would the non-animal whey be for people with dairy allergies? Would we react the same way to the product? 🤔

I found the answer on their website "The FDA requires a declaration of milk proteins because the animal-free whey protein is molecularly identical to whey protein that comes from cows. We encourage ice cream eaters who have a milk protein allergy to use the same precautions with Brave Robot that they would take with dairy." So no brave robot products for me!!

@@RavenclawsUnite Thanks so much for sharing this information, Kate. Clearly, this is a personal choice for every vegan to make. I'm sorry you won't be able to enjoy Brave Robot. Luckily, there are so many amazing plant-based dairy desserts options available nowadays, like So Delicious, Planet Oat, Nada Moo, Trader's Joe's and Ben & Jerry's :D

@@Worldofvegan oh yes, i have no shortage of delicious dessert options! I'm glad there are more choices and it's becoming more mainstream, and widely available in all stores, just not glad I will have to start paying closer attention to labels again 😂 Love tj's soy vanilla ice cream, and a huge fan of jolly llama, so delicious cashew based flavors, and ben and jerry's netflix and chilled 🤤 My most recent discovery is the Kind frozen almond based bars, they taste like a frozen snickers!

It's actually scary to me that these products are becoming more available, because they are labeled vegan, and i have come to trust that label. However, I have a milk protein allergy, and according to their FAQs, I would have a reaction to the products. Yay for science, but i'm not looking forward to the day where I have to again spend copious amounts of time dissecting labels in the store before purchasing 😓

I totally hear what you're saying, Kate. So sorry to hear about your milk protein allergy :( It must be really frustrating for you to have to be so careful with ingredients and labels. I hope labels and ingredient lists will become much more simple and clear in the future.
