I can still remember cycling to Spurn Point in 1967 as a 10 yr old with my brothers, sisters and my father from Grimsby. Not a great deal seems to have changed. I now live in a warmer area of the UK down in Essex. I settled here after I left the Army in 1979. Tony in Essex

thanks for the video on Spurn really enjoyed it , brought back lots of memories. I cycled from Withernsea in the fifties to visit with an RAF boyfriend serving in radar. My dad used to bird watch there often in the fifties and sixties. I live in california,

Lovely historic video. You've got the perfect voice over to show and tell about this wonderful area. Keeps the viewer interested and engaged. It's somewhere I'd like to visit. How long do you feel spurn point has left before it's completely washed away?

The early ports in the Humber were Patrington haven and Hedon, Hedon was bigger than Hull, you can see the importance of Patrington Haven and Patrington where in this country does a small place have such a grand church in a very unusual cross shape

I thought, during WW1, the railway acted also as ammo resupply point to the cruisers of the time and munitions transfer ships over across N. Sea to those Northern French battlegrounds, (thus some remaing h/d ship tie ups, roping points) or is my info all wrong ¿?

Great talk. I hope it's not rude to point out UK is anachronistic in the early history of Spurn.
