Wow phoenix is doing great work with that CPO. A problem with vintage arcade games is that a lot of shops really tore up these units with their hack repairs, leaving out parts. A big problem I had with my Spy Hunter was they just kept putting in higher value fuses on the power supply rather than fix the problem capacitors. It eventually damaged some components.

@@Blutnase yeah CPO is awesome and I think a lot of the repairs on this one. We’re just on the fly probably sitting in an arcade broken and they just use whatever they had to get it up and running.

Enjoying the videos!!! I think quality control was not up to snuff at the Spy Hunter plant. I remember jacklick (youtube) was missing the big washer too and had somebody 3D print one out, I have a spare setup I can check up on later. It may be one of those “The diagram may be different” scenarios. I think Jacklicks problem was, the whole steering handle slid in and out a bit affecting his steering potentiometer.

@@upuchri thank you and that’s what I’m worried about but it did work before I took it apart so fingers crossed those two washers is all I need

I know you are under a time crunch, but what about soaking that gear in acetone or xylene to remove that glue?
@troylukans217420 күн бұрын
@@BuzzHarrison the problem is the gear is stuck to the potentiometer. I could possibly suspend the potentiometer out of the acetone, but I was able to get the gears to lineup so hopefully that’ll be good for now.
