I'll admit that "everyone is your family" doesn't make much sense on its head, sure, but GODDAMN did Spy Kids do it RIGHT! This franchise invested in their nonsensical world and character building from the very beginning, and man does it create one helluva finale payoff here! I can respect a series that fully and wholeheartedly owns up to its message, silly or not. Am i the only one who loved it as a kid and STILL loves it? I love this finale. Toymaker is one of my favorite antagonist. He seeks forgiveness and decided to make a world where anyone can get a second chance - a videogame world. Extra lives you know. And once Valentin forgave him, he finally got something he dreamed of for 30 years. 30 years spent in regret over his decision, 30 years of his torment are in the past as Valentin forgave him. Maybe this is why i'm so forgiving and i never hold grudges. Because guilt is most heart-wrecking and mind-breaking kind of pain. Nobody deserves to feel so bad.
