Its a testament to the songwriting that the best song on a David Gilmour album turns out to be a cover. Then when you listen to the vocal performance and expression on the original it takes it to another level.
@davidpotts177817 күн бұрын
Well yeah this version is much better, but the reason this is the best song on davids album is all the rest have been written by his wife who suddenly thinks shes a world class song writer. All of her songs sound crap to me 😮

My first daughter of 7 is eating dinner while looking at Halloween songs and dancing to it. My second and last daughter of 14 months is walking since a month so is going round and round for the house doing dangerous things. My wife is next to me on the sofa. I’m wearing headphones and listening to this. Me and my wife are looking at our daughters and we both wish there could be a pause botton to let this moment last forever. But sadly there isn’t. Time is a severe thing. I hope to come back in 10 - 20 years and read this comment again thinking. How fortunate I was at the time. This song is very nostalgic but I’m happy to laugh looking at these 2 little troublemakers in front of me. Hope someone will relate to me and this thoughts. Bye.
