This was very helpful. However, you sort of skipped the part about plugging in the ballast and re-using the ballast-to-bulb cable (and bulb) from the original unit. I figured it out, but it took some head scratching.

On my 2011 base coupe, the fender liners were attached with plastic push pins, not screws. A cheap panel removal tool set really came in handy. Total time to get the bumper off was about 30-40 minutes assuming you have all of the tools handy.

Installed a set 2 weeks ago. Followed video but omitted the HID Ballast swap as the Apex are full LED, the back is a solid black plastic (no Ballast 4-screw opening as shown in the video) and there's no electrical connections to the ballast. Also, didn't remove the front bumper entirely, just dropped it down a few inches and that was sufficient to make uninstall/install process simpler. Unlocking/locking with the FOB activates the Low/High Beam Shutter with a rather loud "clunking" sound. Watching KZbin videos for a GTR Carbide LED headlight install, they activated the Shutter with FOB Unlock/Lock as well. My concern is long-term over-use of the Shutter mechanism and possible premature failure. I do like the look as they're close to Mori's and about $600. CAD less expensive.

super video ! une question, at 7" you say that the ballast must be recovered you take it apart and unplug it from the old headlight, but you put it back in the new headlight without plugging it in? Is this normal? How does it work in the new headlight? Thanks

I installed these in my 08 . I did have to super theyglue both black wires permanently in your copular. Kept sliding out when coupling it to the factory harness.

I don't know if it was just my car or not but the ballast off of my 05 Corvette did not fit these headlights and I had to order a pair of ballasts off of eBay to go on.

I have the signature series and it says D1S bulb fits but it doesnt fit the connector

The D1S bulbs fit just fine. I. just swapped the bulbs over from my stock headlights. You need to remove the retaining plate that's held on to the bulb base by two small torx screws.
