A lanyard makes small knives work. I own this model and carry it, a lot. Would buy again.

They work by themselves.. a lanyard makes a small knife more bulky and defeats the whole purpose of a small convenient blade.

@@rickterrance4981 depends on the lanyard. You make a hangman knot out rope sure. 550 with the core removed, not really. Got my first knife when I was 13. At 55 I have 42 years of carry experience that says you're wrong.

@@rickterrance4981some people have bigger hands 😂 a small 3 knot Paracord will give you just enough space to fit your whole hand. It will not make the knife "bulky". Talking about just the cord, not a dumb bead. I know this is 2 years later lol.

first they work with belts when the steel is soft, then they make the steel tough so its not the case.. (from my point)

Love the dragonfly 2. It's perfect for edc. Most people don't need anything more than this knife.

I feel like I could do almost everything I need a knife for with the dragonfly. I don’t think I will carry it much by it self just because I like bigger knives, but overall the dragonfly is great.

Dragonfly's are incredible. Especially in this steel. Try carrying it exclusive for a couple days. Its mind blowing how it eats anything in its path.

I just ordered a Para 3 lightweight for my first Spyderco, but I might eventually get the Dragonfly, VG-10 version, to have a little variety. Thanks for the video.

The para 3 lw was one of my first spydies, and one that I have carried and used a bunch, I think you will like it. Thanks for watching

That would be a great keychain knife, and I wouldn’t really have to worry about it going full. Thanks for watching👍

Different steels will look very different with the same grit belts (or sandpaper for that matter) - and some just keep looking worse the higher you go. I got very frustrated trying to get a decent looking finish on a 61 HRC Nilox blade - grits past 220 made the blade look like a scratched mirror. So that could be part of the reason why different blades(steels) look differently, or maybe why Spyderco might decide on a different finish. And indeed wear/consumption of the abrasives may well be part of the equation.

Thank you it’s one of those things that I have gotten better with over time, and I also try to take a breath every time I finish a category of my review, such as the blade. Thanks for watching

i remember the 1960s, when Made in Japan was a mark of substandard quality. i guess spyderco is a traditional Japanese company.

Would it have killed Spyderco to have rounded off the corners on the scales and not have the "flat face"?? YES we buy this knife ignoring that...heh...so many other small knives with better ergo's...e.g. Cold Steel Tuff Lite $30 :)
