Being raised on 440 steel in all its iterations through the 70's, VG-10 = The Original Super Steel. The DLT Red & Black Zome in 20cv is pretty sweet too & I have the Black blade version on its way to me now. Thanks!

I’m not a steel snob... I really love both the Endura and the Delica, (both of mine are VG10 also). I love fidgeting with the Endura, the action is so satisfying! I’m excited to get an Endela in hand... (the K390 version sounds awesome)

Maaaaan....I just don’t get K390. I completely understand the high quality of it, however I don’t want to worry about the patina and/or the maintenance of it. If they had made the Stretch 2 Straight back in VG10 I would have bought that instead!

I have the Endura in K390, and it IS awesome. There’s enough oil on my skin so after I’ve wiped the blade with my fingers, hardly any patina has formed after about three months, so I wouldn’t worry too much about the maintenance factor. Hell of a blade!

@@jakefromohiostate yeah i got the stretch 2 straight spine in k390. The patina is cool to me it just kinda frosts over. But it’s not as bad as like your full carbon steels. I think the 4% chromium helps a little. All you gotta do is keep it dry and wiped clean and it will just kinda frost over kinda look. But no rust. It’s actually easier maintenance than I thought it would be.

@@justinreynolds8826 that’s awesome!! I have a Native 5 in Maxamet now and I actually enjoy the small amount of patina that has occurred.

I do enjoy the delica quite a bit and I agree with you on the fidget to these knives it is quite satisfying. I think I will now need to add an endela as I like the size increase and think I may try a endura as well just to see which I like best. You sir have created a monster with that delica 😂😂😂. Great review my friend 👍

I have had my Endela for a week now and feel exactly the same as you about it. Just a really nice knife. I knew I didn't want the stock clip so at the same time I ordered a blue titanium Lynch deep carry clip, which really makes the knife perfect. There's nothing wrong with the stock clip but I don't care to have that much of the knife sticking out of the top of my pocket. I think VG10 is a fine steel but since your review it has gone up to $92.00 so as the price gets closer to $100 I think Spyderco should at least consider upgrading to the next step up to BD1N which has better edge retention and still sharpens nicely. That said, I like my Endela as much as my more expensive knives. I actually like their FRN. I agree with you on the fidget factor as well. Good review man.

Thanks for the comment! Spyderco’s latest price hike is completely absurd! They have become too arrogant for me. They make nice knvies, but the lack of new designs combined with an ever inflating price…no thanks! It sucks that they have the power to keep charging more while doing less…sprint runs will keep them in business, but not by me.

My #1 rule, knife safety first. The Spyderco bi-dirctional FRN handles provide the most secure grip of any handle design.. I would olike to see a review of the Spyderco Rockjumper. Thanks for the review.

The Rocker jumper does look pretty cool. I’ll see if I can get ahold of one. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

Great info on The James Brand, been thinking about picking something up from them, but second guessing because of the "small" feature you mentioned. I've noticed that a lot with knives, just because deminsions might say what they do, doesn't mean all companies follow the same demsion chart or anything. A 3" knife from one company can be smaller and/or larger than a 3" blade from another company:)

Oh I get it man! I was staunchly against them forever! But I have found a few models that I really love....however they make some downright ugly ones! Thanks for watching and Commenting!
