It's a 940-2 that was purchased in November of 2022. Not sure of the manufacture date though.

A steel i generally don't buy- I really feel better about s35. In fact for that series I think my likes go s35>s45>s30. That said if I had to buy S30 (before watching this) I'd buy a spyderco. I definitely think for heat treating spyderco will typically be better than benchmade.

@@bighamz1175 my native 5's factory edge lasted roughly 6 months. That's no bull. It may not have had a razor edge by then, but the geometry kept it cutting forever.
