I bought one of these, and liked it so much that my second CruWear Yo2 was delivered this afternoon. It’s nice to have a pair of this particular model. 🤠

I’ve been looking at the s90v version but don’t think I’ll bite the bullet just because it’s more self defense then edc

I would be happy to have a more affordable, lockback version if Spyderco makes it

I absolutely agree, it’s to the point now where when I buy a knife to make a review on it and I hardly have enough to pay for my meal preps😂

Love getting higher end steel versions for same price or less than the regular version. I have a Kershaw Blur in M4 steel for around $69

Some CRKT's and Ruike's are better in tip down due to weak detents

Tip down is good if you carry in the back pocket. Fight me :P. OK but for real my yojimbo is in shipment, so I haven't tried it yet, but I like to carry larger knives in the back pocket tip down. I don't want a big ole knife clanging around on the same pocket as my phone, wallet or flashlight, so I usually go with something under 3 inches like a para 3 LW, or a long skinny knife like a boker kwaiken air. If I need to pack a larger knife like a tenacious/raven something like that, I just feel more comfortable with it in the back pocket, and tip up doesn't work as well since A you are already repositioning the knife, and B it lets you nestle the spine of the blade against the hem so it is less likely to pop open (not a huge concern, but it is nice to know). I still carry tip up, front pocket 90% of the time, I'm not THAT crazy but sometimes a bigger knife works well tip down on the back.

So I am not a fan of the smooth g10 but I am spoiled by the manix 2. Overall it is a great knife once I get the regular g10 on there. Mine is so so smooth and solid.

I’m finding there are times where the smooth is just better in my hands and times where textured is the better way to go. G10 has always been my favorite handle material because you can get it so many different ways
