U started around the same time we bought our Van, great to hob on your journey. We have kinda the same layout. We also have an induction hob, but everything else is is kinda different like any other DIY project :) You are doing a great job, it looks really good, love the build series. A shower is something that is needed in any camper if you ask me. At this state we are building the kitchen en cabinets. The shower and all the walls, water supply and heater are installed and finished.

Nice one, I’ve literally started a little on the plumbing today. Fitting the under slung tanks. Can’t wait to use a proper shower whilst camping.

Looking good and very compact. Interested to see how the shower base and walls complete the shower. Merry Christmas Lee n family 🐈👍

That's good. It's the same design as the black out blinds for velux roof windows

Yeah it is. I never thought of it that way 😁

Nice, clean install! 👍I was impressed when I saw it in Mel's video. I assume you used stainless steel screws. This looks really good. I don't have enough room in my van for a shower cubicle but I do plan a larger build later so I will probably use that door. I really like the fact that it can be made to fit exactly. Good stuff.

Yeah it’s a nice door. I’m impressed with it. 😁

Loving your videos Lee! Super interesting and detailed. Your van is looking amazing! My husband and I are currently converting a Peugeot Boxer too and have the exact layout planned that you've got. I was just wondering, are you adding any ventilation in the shower area? We, unfortunately, don't have space to add a roof vent in due to our solar panels being directly above but we're now a bit concerned that the steam from the shower wont have anywhere to escape.

Thanks ☺️ I have exactly the same problem with the shower. Solar panels above on the roof. My only thought was after a shower leave the door open and put on the max air fan to extract anything. I’ll just see how things go then make some changes if it’s a problem.

@SpyderLEE thanks very much. Will be keen to see how you get on with it 👍🏼 We're considering coming up with some way to attach some sort of vent to the maxx fan that we can clip on and off, but that's a job for another time 😅

The door looks great. I see your induction hob, what make is it and where from? Would a 460ah battery with 2000kw inverter be ok for it? Thanks
@SpyderLEE20 күн бұрын
The job is a noxton 2 zone, I got it from Amazon. You’d need a 3000w inverter to run it though 👍

@@SpyderLEE thanks, if I only use one ring that would work wouldn’t it on a 2000kw Victron multplus. ?

First, it’s a 2kW or 2000W inverter. Now that being said: 2kW is enough for one zone, but it depends which induction you have. Just be aware that 80% of tot total amount from the inverter can be used continuously without any problem. For a 3kW thats 2,4kW and 2kW thats 1,6kW (1600W) Now there are induction hubs thats you can use that use some kind of loadbalancing so it wont exceed the total of you 80% of your inverter. Even with the 3kW when you use 2 zones you need some kind of loadbalancing to prevent a safety shutdown from the inverter. No direct harm will come from it but it’s annoying to reset it and it does that for a reason so just keep it in The specs. Hope this helps.
