I bought a carplay, built -in plug and play. It works better than expected because it is not too expensive. But what I don't like is that I have to take the smartphone every time and turn on that hotspot again. It would be nicer if I didn't have to do that anymore. I think I have 2 options; Or I buy a device where you put a SIM card and thus have a WiFi signal to connect ( without apps and the like) or I buy a more expensive device such as Carlinkit here and I also insert a SIM card in it. Only the question is; Is the 4G speed just as well/fast as on the smartphone, and the reception?

Hi there , just watched both videos and you’ve made the whole operation look relatively simple . Did you use the original ecu and would it be safe to drive the vehicle to get mapped with the 130 injectors in ? Regards Paul

To be honest there isn’t anything complicated. Hardest bit for me was getting up off the floor again! I wouldn’t recommend driving unmapped but it also depends on how far you are going and what the original engine was mapped to. I suppose if it runs it’s at your own risk.

Yeah I couldn’t figure out to keep the second screen playing. It always paused when I split it and the second screen isn’t touch so can’t start it again.

Carlinkit tbox is better but costs more. This one hasn’t got the play store for extra apps like the tbox.

Direct to rear monitor but need to turn on the hdmi output in settings. By default it was off.

Can you tap the tile of the maps to make it take up the whole screen, on the carlinkit android software... like you can with the android auto. Or do you have to go into the android auto to use that feature that allows to switch to full screen tile?

Everything was kept stock with the fans and radiator (except the radiator was changed for new)

Cool engine, though you might have to move the firewall up to the seats and relocate the fuel cell to the front because I don't think there is that much room from the stock firewall to the axle.
