I’m absolutely loving watching your video’s Lee, especially the camper ones, from your VW T5 (we are VW T6 Camper owners) to the present one you are doing. I find them so incredibly fascinating to watching and how you go about the jobs in hand is amazing, you are an extremely talented person and it shows in your workmanship, attention to detail and how you describe each job you are doing, fantastic. 👍😎

Fantastic video @spyderlee. Your videos are some of the most informative I can find. And your passion to show all your workings off is awesome. Not to mention the little words of wisdom like “leaving loops of cable for future workings” is just gold dust. I’m loving the build and cannot wait to see it finished

Brilliant man 👌 if you are looking at underslung water tanks, Check out the new ones at bobil Van's, built especially for the relay,boxer,Ducato. Mine arrived this week & they are tidy. They both fresh & waste bolt together & sit tucked away up the middle of the Van where the handbrake cable etc is..

Yep already been on the emails with them as I’m going bobil for the water heater too. 😁

@@SpyderLEE I'm going the JP combi diesel heater/boiler, I've got it already. Just got to install in now, I've already tapped in to the fuel tank via the cab, which was handy enough. Been putting my floor down this wknd lol my knees are in bits 🤣

Enjoy how you resolve each challenge which is as you stated in early build videos. The idea of "make it up..." had me smiling too! Looking forward to seeing how the electronics link up. One question I have is regarding wiring sun panels, after your explanation of keeping charge if a panel failed I was surprised you want serial, is there a reason? Thanks for showing the steps involved so well 👍
@SpyderLEE
@SpyderLEE 5 ай бұрын
Thanks 😁. Series usually becomes a problem with larger arrays on houses as its more likely one end will be in the shade and the other in the sun. As the panel producing the least amount of power limits the whole system. 2 panels close together usually have either both in the sun or both in the shade so shouldn’t be an issue. I prefer lower currents as it keeps the system more efficient. That’s why power going between a towns is 11,000v it keeps the amps down and uses smaller cables over longer distances.

@SpyderLEE I'm not sure that MPPT is up to the job. Your panels are capable of putting out around 48amps @12.7v where as the MPPT has max output of 30amps. You need the 100/50 MPPT 👍🏽

@@SpyderLEE great stuff, cheers. You are doing a great job here we are in the process of doing another van similar to yours but keeping it basic with a power box straight into a solar panel no victron stuff. My own setup is I have a split system half with a solar panel the other half with a power box so I have 240 etc almost like it’s on hook up all time. Work amazing

@@sccobysteI've used strips of velcro, works perfectly and is easily dismantled if required 😉
