Spying on marble stingrays

We were quite surprised to see so many marble rays resting together during our recent kayak and snorkeling excursion in Darwin Bay, San Cristobal, Galapagos. Check out the size of that momma!
While rays are generally docile and will just swim away if threatened, they do have a potent and dangerous stinger. Thus the closeups from the front, not from behind!
