Silent viewer here but man your videos make me smile and take my mind off of everything for a bit. Spyro is my comfort, was a huge part of my childhood and have merch dotted around my home. Great vid and explanation! Spyro was my favorite childhood game and i remember the trauma from those flight levels. You seem like such great guy with a wonderful attitude and it was great to listen to your explanation. I hope you continue to find these speedruns rewarding!

I thought this VOD was gonna be members-only! I was here yesterday, and I gotta say Dayo, the run is cray-cray. I knew you'd eventually beat the latest one you set last week, but this soon, and by this many seconds??? As you said during the livestream, there might still be a few seconds to shave off this record semi-realistically (a few bonks, the fairy...), but even if you never got it under 1:20:2X... I mean, good luck to whoever attempts beating this WR 😭 Congratulations dude!

Every time you change the camera to/from commentary Dayo it trips me up just a bit This run had me on my seat, always had to remember the Loot timesave capability, the splits had me thinking it was out of reach haha

congrats on the PB! keep up the good work! because you asked; I have been watching your youtube stuff for about a year now, I think youtube recommended your videos to me one day when i was listening to the Spyro soundtrack. I dont tend to watch streams unless they are of special events or such, but i do sometimes pop into your stream if you happen to be online at the same time as I am. I never really appreciated speedrunning as I now do after following youre explanation videos and commentaries so you really opened my eyes to appreaciate the this art and i thank you for that!

Recently got into Spyro via the reignited trilogy but really fell in love with Spyro through a hero's tail. Love this more grounded commentary and your explanation is so chill and polite. I got into your channel from watching you play through a hero's Tale casually and just like me seeing you go from kind of hating the game to enjoying it throughout that playthrough what's fun to watch. Hope you get that sub 1:19, if anyone can do it I believe you can❤

My very first impression of you was Tharixer's First Levels in Speedrunning video. (The Sunny Flight rant is a brain worm. I still quote it to people, out of context, occasionally) After that I saw some individual videos from time to time. Unforunately, have no memory, which ones. My very first "Hey, it's this guy, I've seen his videos before" was your first Spyro 3.5 video. From there on onwards I slowly started watching more and more, until finally opening my mouth (figuratively) during an any% stream.

Congrats on the new record. It's insane how you were able to claw it back despite taking so many time losses throughout. Really makes it seem like the 1:19 is definitely not beyond reach. Next time you do a video like this (which I'm sure you will soon based on how much you've been killing it lately), I'd recommend changing your background lighting color for the commentary to a different one than what you used in the run if possible. It'll make it really easy as a viewer to tell when you switch back to the run's webcam feed and will direct our attention there when you want us to see something.
