I know, right? People give it so much shit for being dark and serious, for being different. But they forget that it takes a dark and serious story to make truly epic endings. I loved the development in LoS. He grew from the eager and slightly cocky child in the first game, to the Shell-Shocked Veteran trope in Dawn of the Dragon. Like, he was so serious and somber in the third game, and you can't hold it against him at all. He's spent so much time fighting, with the weight of the world solely on him. After all the hell he went through to save the world, LoS Spyro earned his happy ending more than any other iteration.

I liked the last ending the best (not Skylanders, the final Legend of Spyro). Quite honestly, I don't see Skylanders having anything to do with Spyro; Skylands is an alternate dimension of sorts. I really do love the bold move the legend of spyro trilogy made with their dark and connected storyline. Not to mention that the games had an AMAZING voice acting cast, like Elijah wood the actor of frodo from lord of the rings, David spade a comedic genius, and Gary oldman, one of my favorite actors in the Harry Potter series and other franchises.Unfortunately I've only played eternal moon and dawn of dragon on the ds (played new beginning on GameCube) but the endings and story were basically identical. However I'm not too bummed that I haven't been able to play those two on console because I heard that they weren't as good as new beginning in terms of gameplay

Skylanders wasn't that bad of a game, but they really did fuck over Spyro. They used him to bring in more cash, crapped all over his appearance and personality. They also decided to give him a game that he barely stars in, then made him disappear while they released more games. Tragic really; Activision should have left him alone until his 20th anniversary and made Skylanders without Spyro. Maybe then everything would have been better. :/

I miss TLOS series... The original was simple, I didn't like many things but it was my first videogame ever so it will allways have a place in my heart. The Skylanders one was a different approach but overall nice... I loved the fact that they added Cynder and later Crash and stuff ... though I lost interest due to the big amount of characters and the very short time between every new Skylanders game... The first one was great in my opinion. But The Legend of Spyro was the best... for Story and Gameplay.

The Legend Trilogy always blended the emotions perfectly at the very end (and throughout): you had the humor at the end of A New Beginning (as well as some seriousness), sadness in The Eternal Night, and happiness in Dawn of the Dragon. The only thing I feel would have made Dawn of the Dragon's ending better is if Cynder had just laughed as the screen faded. Still, though, that ending always fills me with happiness. I loved the original series' endings, too. I didn't mind Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, though. However, I love the Skylanders series on Netflix more, mostly because it allows for Spyro to have a mix of all three versions, and Cynder actually has a nice arc, although the changes to her character took a little to get used to.

The Dragon Activision thought her old design was pretty dark. So they had to change it to pink and purple...

She looked more purplish in Dawn of the Dragon. I think her scales slowly started to change color overtime.

Whenever I created my Skylanders fanfics, I always saw her with her Dawn of the Dragon designs, with maybe just a tiny bit more of violet hue in her scales and sapphire-blue eyes rather than the emerald-green ones she has in the Legend Trilogy. I wanted to keep her closer to her old design.

If any developer reads this: I used to love Spyro. I played the first game and instantly fell in love with it. Then Sadly never got to play the Rest of them. Finally One day when I was browsing KZbin I came across a Skylanders type video featuring Spyro It brought back SOOOOOO many memories and with the technology we have today you could make another Spyro game with better graphics and everything. Please Bring back Spyro the dragon

Maybe yes, but you can tell, after seeing the final of each storyline, that cynder and spyro kept staying together and they could survive worst things, and that is an important lesson :D

Imo, the spyro trilogy should NOT continue!!! (I do NOT count skylanders part of the series) but honestly, where it ended was perfect. I loved it so much and it's the first game series that made me cry. It would be SO cool if they remastered the first three spyro games just like they did with crash. But otherwise, where the series ended is perfect and should not continue. Rip spyro

is it just me or does the animation and art get worse in the Skylanders series? the last Spyro was pretty dang Epic. I think it would have been better if Spiro didn't go over to Activision. I wish they had continued the game so we can play more epic ones. the last Spyro had me crying I actually thought that Cynder and Spyro died. the only reason they made that epic game though was because they were giving Spyro to Activision. Which was clearly a mistake... I think spiral would be better off if he stayed with the company he was in before Activision. because after the first Skylanders game which was centered around Spyro, was forgotten... He comes back to the series in imaginators, but only as a background character. Crash Bandicoot gets his fair share from being a background character to a Skylander. Crash doesn't get to be a main character. He is quite rare actually. how Activision quit Spyro made me angry at them. animation quality got worse. The stories got worse. Everything was worse. I wish Spyro stayed with his old company.
