When I was a child I was terrified of High Caves because of the spiders, and also any level with enemies that can eat Spyro. One time I had a nightmare that I was in Dark Passage, but it was inhabited by the metal spiders, and there was not a fairy kiss nor supercharge arrow in sight. Congrats on the WR by the way. Years of hard work have made you basically superhuman at the game

What a great video...and run of course. Loads of information and tips for any would-be Spyro speedrunners. I'm just a Spyro 1 speedrun spectator so have no idea about the finer details of speedrunning this great game. It must have taken ages and loads of hrs of research by many people to optimise the best method/strategy/route for any% runs. So it looks like 36.xx is most definitely possible. The way I see it, it looks like a 3 horse race between Dayo Ash and Laura. Great stuff !!!

When I was a kid, the Spyro trilogy were some of my favorite games so I had played through each one multiple times. Without knowing about speed running (this was probably around 2002) or what would even make one good at Spyro the Dragon, I pondered aloud to my older brother "I wonder if I'm the best in the world at Spyro". Well I definitely wasn't close, but you now verifiably are, so congrats!
