The levels has still the exact same look, but a different overhaul with more detailed than before for 20 years since the original Spyro game came out on PlayStation console back in 1998.

Looking at this right now and I played Spyro last year in September and since that was before the news over Reignited was announced, the ps1 games were all I had to play Spyro but was playing them on my ps3, the ps1 games look bland compared to this. Holy shit. But the ps1 version will always have a special place in my heart 💜.

The Spyro PSOne trilogy is my favorite game series of all time. My favorite andthe one I play most often is Ripto's Rage. Can't wait to play through and 100% (110%) them all as I've done many times since I first played them as a kid...but this time in HD with Trophies lol

I remember when i was younger thinking that some of the character designs on the ps1 version of the game looked kinda weird I also remember thinking wow look at those graphics for the scenery in spyro and the controls felt so nice, such futuristic technology for games back when i was about 5 for ps1 games

It's strange that I'm so fond and use to the rather goofy and weird look of the original models. They were so 'poorly' done it made them more memorable and even creepy! It was sort of a style. The redone enemies are fantastic don't get me wrong! But that creepy minimalizm and universal style of the originals of our childhood is rather lost in the details.

For future reference you should make each slide the same format. Some pictures started old on left new on right some picture started different. If it makes it easier start out with a template that says "Old" on left and "New" on the right and just drag the pictures accordingly I to frame. It's also provide consistency

I get it tho. Some of the enemies look like a great remaster, because you can really see the resemblance and the essence of what they were going for in the original. But some of them don’t, not even a little bit. Like some of the frogs for example, they could have done a better job at capturing the essence of the original. I don’t like the egg thief either. CrystalBlazier This is more of a remake than a remaster. Also part of what constitutes a “remaster” is to simply up the graphics of existing models and properties, not completely overhaul them. The new models may be “good” but they don’t capture the silliness of the originals. The big metal plated norc being a prime example.

Man, some of these look leaps and bounds ahead in quality, and others just look like crap. Take many of the green gnorcs. In the original, their general shape was that of a triangle- thin at the top and wide at the bottom. But the new designs have beefed up their arms and turned the triangle upside down, making them look more top-heavy.

A lot of these designs are absolutely stunning, but I'm just not fond of the generic Artisan gnorc and the egg thief. Artisan gnorc looks weirdly out of place even among the other gnorcs shown here (very skylanders-esque compared to the thief gnorc or any other gnorc shown) and the egg thief just...I dunno, I'm fond of the "caped in shadow, mysterious" vibe, not this interpretation.

The Gnorc designs would be very uncanny if they were simply upscaled to HD versions of their original designs. Plus Spyro Reignited Trilogy is developed by the creator of Skylanders, so there will be a resemblance. :)

I'm not exactly saying I want it to just be upscaled old models, I just mean the generic Artisans gnorc SPECIFICALLY looks far different aesthetically from all the other remastered models in this video to me. Like a stylistic departure from what they were trying to get with the other enemy redesigns, ya know? Like it was the first gnorc they recreated before they had a solid concept. I mean heck, it's not a deal-breaker by any means. Just looks real weird compared to the other redesigns, of which 99% are A+!

No, Spyro Enter the Dragonfly won't be part of Reignited. The Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a remastered trilogy of the original Spyro trilogy, not a quadrilogy. :)
