I've had a LOT of comments about why I didn't include the level storage glitch. Maybe I should explain... When I scripted and recorded glitches this video it was about 5 months ago. Because I got busy with work, I didn't have time to finish it so I decided to come back to it and carry on with all the clips and voice over that I already recorded. I didn't look up new glitches that had been discovered as I was excited to complete this video finally, so just carried on with what I had. I still think there's a lot of awesome stuff here and I hope that the exclusion of that glitch hasn't effected how much you enjoyed the video! Thanks for reading :D

I had 100% every world all the way to beast maker's where you need fifty dragon's but I had all of them literally the whole game so far was 100% just had to do the rest

Okay, so the skyboxes: When you enter a Portal you see the sky of the level you're going into while it's loading. This is where Spyro is at that moment, he's basically in one of these skyboxes, waiting for the rest of the level to show up

I’m only come across a few minor glitches in the switch port for Spyro, I’m not 100% how to activate the first one but in the first game in tree tops the Red Egg Thief stopped at the top of the staircase and didn’t move and could not be hit (he still appeared later where he was supposed to be too), and in Spyro 2 if you charge into the portal for Scorch the smoke trail that appears when charging stays there during the loading zone and for the rest of the game until you lose a life (that’s all I’ve come across while playing though)

2:13 Oh that's easy. They're for when you walk through a portal. You instantly see the skybox giving you time to fiddle around in the skybox while the actual level you're transitioning to loads.

To anyone that reads this there is one more glitch I found rather convenient. If you go into the level cliff town and fall off the cliff and pause the game and exit the level just before you are about to fall, you will be exiting the level and should hear the falling sound effect while exiting the level. You will then load into the home world but all the enemies and rabbits will be standing still and you can’t hit them nor flame them, all you can do is touch them and make them move.

That racing glitch at the end is actually really aggravating. When I played the game proper I was just having a terrible run of that race and kept losing. I thought I was just having a really bad time of it until I realized that the level was running slower. And eating inputs. And failing to register the boost meter. And failing to register certain powerups. And generating phantom pig skaters. And Anyway it was *not* a good time and obviously made the level progressively more impossible to play.

Tried some of these glitches on Switch version. I’m not ver far into the trilogy yet (120% on Spyro 1, 33% on Spyro 2, and 0% on Spyro 3), but so far, I can say that the first OoB glitch in 1 was patched, the electric fence in Cliff Town was raised, and the fly into ladders glitch was patched. The camera also becomes very limited when Spyro grabs a ladder in Spyro 2 to stop that random glitch. I also tried the Exit Level glitch on Gnasty’s Loot like the video showed, but the most I got was the soft lock with wind effects. No falling outside death planes, but at least something happened.

Maybe I’m just bad, but the best I could do for the Crystal Glacier “Sonic glitch” was cloning Spyro for a second on the catapult by pausing just before landing on it.

I have found that there's a place in Spyro: a Heroes Tail that if you walk on it or jump on it, you'll fall right out of bounds and from there when you hit the water, you can swim right on outta bounds completely and up up into the sky and anywhere else you want to go including the area where only Hunter is supposed to be able to enter. I actually recorded a video of it if anyone wants to watch the madness. I'm so glad to see a new Glitch Picnic and glad that you're okay though!

There is another softlocking glitch you missed. I'll tell you in the way I do it You can only do this if you haven't finished the game yet In Spyro 3, finish a friend level (Sheela, Agent 9, Bently, Sgt. Byrd) Go to the place where you go to a boss level, but don't enter the hot air balloon or whatever is there Instead, go to the friend in the back of the balloon, walk towards them and press Y/Triangle when you get close to them while walking. They will start talking, but you will enter the balloon. Select "Stay Here" and now you are stuck. Can't pause the game

Skyboxes are loaded because they are seen through the gates to the levels. Each gate acts like a screen showing a game camera view from within the other sky box. Like the monitors in halflife2

I was playing the game on Switch the other day, and I was doing the Ocean Speedway level. I talked to the queen for the mission, but I accidentally quit the level while her textbox was still up! The only way to get rid of it was to exit the game. Weird and annoying.

The Lost Fleet glitch still sort of happens on PC. I was going for the course record and I retried the level every time I messed up. I went at it for so long that, eventually, the music stopped playing, the enemies no longer had death sounds, and the game began to lag, though not as bad as what was shown in the video. I rebooted the game to get it back to normal, but if I had continued, maybe the lag could've gotten worse.

Cool. The ripto boss glitch should be an achievement to beat What? How’d the super fly ladder bug not get fixed by the devs? That is a major bug lol. Actually with all the times people find ways out of levels in games, why isn’t there an achievement of getting out of bounds? It wouldn’t be hard. Just add a trigger box far beneath the level that triggers a secret achievement It’s funny, I recognize some of these glitches. Like with the ladder ones. When you grab a ladder in the unreal engine, you switch the character to flying mode which turns off the gravity. Or you just turn off the gravity, depends how you code but you get the same result, a flying character that can’t jump out of the tigger box that sets the character back to walking since you left it already. Really annoying to fix and I never found a good way of doing it. I’m glad to see a huge company suck at coding as much as me. Gives me hope lol

If you hit exit level in the transition into the fight with either gulp or ripto that's the infinite flight area.

Kind of weird that level storage isn't featured considering that is arguably the coolest glitch in the entire game. Basically it allows you to use all of the side effects of being within a speedway in any level in the trilogy and includes a level timer, infinite flight, and infinite supercharge. Literally gives you the ability to play the game like a sandbox and allows you to venture to every out of bounds plane in the entire game, including all of the ones shown in this video. Good video, but a glitch video which ignores one of the craziest glitches I've ever seen in a video game feels incomplete imo.

I can explain the missing glitch actually. The upload schedule on this channel doesn't really exist... When I scripted and recorded this video it was around 4 or 5 months ago, and when I've come back to it I decided to continue from where I left off with the things I had recorded without checking for anything new that was discovered. Had I checked I'd likely have added it in. Oops. I can understand why you think that way, but I try to make the videos purely for entertainment and just hope people enjoy them for what they are! I actually have one more glitch that I found recently, I don't know if it works on ps4 but I managed it on xboxone: If you complete all the levels, excluding city flight (and didn't talk to Elora) AND you unlocked boss fight. Head over to Elora by the whirl, the game will get confused and you will disappear in the middle of her dialogue. If you click to turn off the dialogue, the camera will glitch out of bounds for a second to reveal you've been teleported by the boss level to then trigger talk to second Elora. That means there are two Elora's in the hubworld until you enter the flight stage. Then Elora that stood by the whirl thingy, will disappear. Useless but quite funny to me ^^

When using the slow glitch, it actually affects ingame timers for power ups. I have a stream recording saved of me accidentally performing the glitch, then slowing down the submarine timer, and accidentally getting permanent under water swimming. The area used for permanent swimming was patched out in update 1.1 or 1.2 though.

To answer the Sky box glitch at the beginning of the video this is why. When you go thru the portals to the other levels your loading screen is you flying thru the clouds. Those Sky boxes are in fact the loading screens hence why they are there and why there is no maps in them.

Indeed this is the reason, I never thought about it but I still think its strange that there's such a huge, huge sphere just to show the sky box! Unless spyro gets put inside the sky box when he goes through a portal, anyway.

@@MikeyTaylorGaming My theory is every hub world has the skyboxes already rendered in and when you go thru the portal you are teleported into that skybox and the hub is unloaded and the level you go into is loaded. Hence why there doesnt seem to be a loading screen that doesnt flow from level to level (not counting the balloon trips)

I don't know of they are glitches per say but all in the same level I had Spyro permanently doing his falling animation while on solid ground, him stuck spazzing out head on the ground while I held down square after landing while charging and jumping around, and lastly the skateboarding rhynocs all half way into the ground. Recorded all of them happening but they aren't very long recordings and all are recorded on my phone. It's been long enough I have no idea how any of them happened, I guess the charge and jumping one is just hitting at just the right angle, I believe the rhynocs in the ground was after I kept retrying the race over and over

That slowdown in the skateboarding level sounds like memory wasn't managed correctly, and there is a memory leak from whatever function is running and instantiating new data.

I got a glitch across all three games that allowed me to get extra gems, for some reason killing an enemy that I had already gotten the gem from would rarely give me a copy of the gem. As a result all my spyro files have two extra gems above the gem count.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the fly anywhere glitch, basically this turns every stage in every game into a flying stage. Basically enter Ripto arena and do the exit stage glitch, Spyro for some reason will exit the flying stage in winter tundra, now while the Ripto cut scene is still playing you have to blindly enter the flying stage and die in it, this will give you the retry message but don't press it yet, now wait for the cut scene to end and press retry quickly after it ended, now just simply die once by jumping into lava and done Ripto arena is a flying stage and you can fly freely, now you can warp to any stage or exit to the other two games and every stage will be a flying one.

All right, I think I have a new glitch I haven't seen posted anywhere. BACKGROUND: I have this game physically on Ps4. I was running out of storage space on my console and uninstalled the game (but NOT my save file) too free up space for a while. I had left my save file in the magic crafters level High caves. when I wanted to play spyro again, I had to reinstall my game from the disk. Spyro one wast the only game available because the other two games were still downloading from internet. I load up my Spyro 1 save file in the meantime an load up into the high cave level. GLITCH TIME: I noticed a LOT of assets were missing (textures, Scenery , ect.) I exit the level and return to magic craftres and see the same problem. I notice more missing textures and even some environmental animations. I head over to Artisans to see if the same would happen there, but the levels where basically complete. EXPLANATION(?) I remember hearing that Alot of content was actually missing from the disk upon launch and had to be downloaded from internet. I think alost of these missing files were from later in the game in order make sure the game had more time to complete downloading later game assets while the player explored the completed early game. Watch out!- Falling of the cliffs will not result in death and spyro will just keep falling and you will need to quit level. Here is the link to some gameplay. That's a pretty cool thing to see! Makes sense, but I would have thought the game made checks to ensure all the files for that particular game were available before loading it... Silly programmers. I wonder if anyone else can recreate this! My ps4 isn't connected to the Internet just in case I need to glitch something 😜

While doing the OoB on Cliff Town I found out that the enemies aren't affected by the electric fence. There is a vulture close to the invisible wall that when it notices you it will go OoB just to attack you. Sadly it doesn't get stuck just goes back to the little pole thing.

Interesting stuff! It makes sense that they ignore the boundary, I can imagine that Toys for Bob never expected anyone to get out there so there was no need to program a collision for enemies against that invisible wall.

I've got a Nice Glitch that JUST Happened to me today ! I Had just emptied a game slot and started a Fresh entry...(Spyro 1) the second i entered Artisans to start the game,All of the side walks,and other area path ways were Super bright,lit up,and golden colored ! I Have proof of this,just wish i could show you and maybe you could put it into a video in the future ? thanks !

Oh man... You're the second person to mention something like this today! You didn't delete the game and reinstall it did you? Sounds pretty interesting! Who knows, I could always do a "missing glitch picnic ' where i cover all the glitches people have told me I've missed in games I've covered eventually!

@@MikeyTaylorGaming Not that i'm aware of man. Just sometimes i'll turn on the XBox,get the game up and let it load and wind up with something odd every now and then. Also had this weird moment in Peace keepers where once i walked spyro to a specific area (Mainly towards the 1 tent in front of the balloonist,everything would go completely white ! crazy ! But as far as i know (or at least i didn't do it) nobody has reinstalled the game. if you shoot me an email address,i'll send you that clip i took.

I caused the Lost Fleet one twice by accident the other day. As I wasn’t going for a frame perfect time, just the skill point it got kind of annoying.
