Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a platform video game developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision. It is a collection of remasters of the first three games in the Spyro series: Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. The game was released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 13, 2018.

Note to the devs: Both of the big wooden doors are supposed to open. The one on the right in the original game only doesn't because of a glitch or oversight.

I was already so worried that has this incredible ETD mod been given up because it is definitely taking tons of time to create this kind of stuff. Ghostie and Infinate are doing so damn great work. Nice to see this update, hype is real!

Thankou for bringing us this update, its frustrating that youre the only real source of information on it that I can find and it's felt like a very long time waiting. I wish they could slip out just one level as a demo to whet appetites and maybe bring in some more support. Praying this makes it to a full release and doesn't die, at this stage it feels like our only hope for more solid Spyro content

It would be great to see you do another LP of this game like you mentioned, PCSX2 and Dolphin are way more advanced than they were 20 years ago, you can overclock both to run at 60 fps with no framerate slow down. Hopefully when F01 finishes his mod it's worth doing a fresh LP to cover the restored content and fixes. I can't believe the original LP is 10 years old, I was literally a kid when I watched it around a year or two after it was released and now I'm all grown up, time flies haha!

I've been wondering about this mod for a while! I'm super excited for and impressed with it!! I always loved ETD despite it's flaws and near unplayability, I always thought it was still a pretty cool concept of a game. Very cool, love the floating bunnies. Spyro WAS able to jump on ice in the original EtD, unlike the PS1 games, but I like how they worked around it by having walkable ledges besides the icy platforms.

You can jump on ice in the Reignited version of Year of the Dragon, so this mod should've used Year of the Dragon as its basis, unless they used Ripto's Rage to avoid the various YOTD issues like erroneous Gem Counts or NPC errors.

Also you can tell Spyro 3 was used for the basis because Spyro slows to a stop on the ice. Ripto’s Rage doesn’t do that. And in neither game could you jump on the ice, original, nor reignited.

Yep, still working on it! Right now they’re still trying to get portals and saving properly working. So much of this hack is technical. I know all the levels are really exciting to see but it’s a real triumph of modding to even get it running properly.

this looks incredible, my only gripe is that the skybox is a bit bland? but I am sure you can fix that. It's crazy to see what these guys have been able to make! The bombable ice may also need to have a distinct way of showing it needs to be broken.

"How did I miss all this??" -goes through the wrong passageway and winds up essentially playing the level ass backwards- (Yes, I somehow remember that you're supposed to head to the right once you reach the first structure; that door isn't open at first normally, and would open after you made it to the end of the level (presumably triggered by talking to the last NPC, ig; idk game shit) as this level's shortcut back to the starting point so that backtracking was made a simpler task. They probably don't have that figured out yet, at least by the time of handing off the demo to ya. It certainly seems like it'd be complicated...) I was gonna say smth else but I've forgotten what that was. hh. OH wait it was to do with the area's NPCs. I feel like snow macaques would make more sense for this particular setup, but at the same time, I can get why the monkeys are designed the way they are: they are Capuchins. u know, Capuchin MONKEY, Capuchin MONK... p sure the monkeys were named for the monks, actually, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I don't know that it matters either way, since idk if coding new NPCs to the area is something that we can even DO. It's amazing that they've gotten THIS far. I know that coding new enemies was a problem, and I'm not sure if they're ever gonna do that. They'd have to do some serious remodeling, anyways (quite literally, too), bc the in-game models for ETD look like hot ass due to how everything was, iirc, horrifically compressed to fit on an engine not made for the level of detail they wanted for them, or smth like that. It'd be fun to see reimaginings of the Dojo dragons in particular, tho...

Yeah, in the original game only the right path is open at the start. The middle door which leads to the slide area is supposed to open up later. You basically did the level backwards, hence the confusion.

My fan fiction is that five of the "Sasquatch Six" yetis and Bartholomew were let into the monastery. However, Bentley and the other Sasquatch member were not peaceful enough for the monks to let them in. Only because the small mammoths came all the way here to tell the monks about the aggressive boxing match they played in Frozen Altars.

Sadly, no one has managed to mod the Nintendo Switch version. There was an attempt on the PS4 version, but it came out wrong.

Honestly, I don't hate the idea of a reimagining of Enter the Dragonfly as a sequel to the Reignited Trilogy, as long as it corrected all the flaws of the original. Even then, I'd likely find the game too cartoony and hate the voice acting because of Toys For Bob's approach to their games

Hopefully the developers give more effort in this remake than the original. The original had interesting worlds to explore, but the glitches, loading time, plot, and boss battles weren’t that great. I really want this if they do a better job. Spyro 4 must happen.

It's time to open your eyes, unfortunately. It will never happen that this project is fully implemented. It's simply too much work, and you can see from these two previews how far the development really is. While the levels have been created, it won't be feasible to create scripts for all the maps, and even if it were, it would take years. We can only work with the existing assets; anything else would be simply insane. Either the developers themselves will scrap the project in a few years, or Activision will intervene before tha

Activision don’t seem to care anymore - Crash Bandicoot Back in Time has so much more attention and even a website dedicated to custom levels and they haven’t touched it. My eyes are wide open; yeah it’s gonna take a long time but even seeing a proof of concept is fun and entertaining. But I do understand the skepticism, though a lot of the code has been worked on behind the scenes for years. It’s just not visible on the front end.
