Squad 44 Infantry Mastery: Tips, Tricks, & Training You Need to Know to DOMINATE!

***IMPORTANT UPDATE*** The 9 o'clock smoke trick does not work anymore because this update for some reason changed the physics of how the grenades flies through the air (it looks wonkier and floaty). Furthermore, the german smoke grenades now get stuck into the ground near vertical sometimes if you throw downward to much into ground (the smoke goes down into the map) and also spins crazy fast sliding on the ground. They only stated they changed damage radius on grenades so i didn't think it would affect my little trick. I will figure out another way to make it go same way. Hello lads, i was going to release this last weekend but since i found out leaning was being reworked i had to redo that part and then wait until it came out because its under NDA until released. I am not good at these commentaries so bear with me i will improve. Also i recorded this in different time points over few weeks so aplogies if it sounds munted or different. *This video does not cover infantry role/classes as there as already heaps of videos done covering that aspect and i am focusing on what i have not seen anyone do*. Anyway this guide will teach you the individual skills i feel most players suck at and don't improve on (even people with 1000s of hours still suck at these things because they don't train them) so i decided to share some knowledge on how to train using admin commands to make it easier and what to do if you have no clue. You can make up your own routine and change stuff around this is a guide after all. DON'T FORGET YOU CAN DO THIS BEFORE YOU PLAY WHILE YOU WAIT IN QUE LOAD ARNHEM RANGE then open browser and click server you want to join.. I would recommend doing up 15minutes sessions on as many days as you can or as i mentioned while your in que before matches. Hopefully you learned something from this video and if you dont understand something or have a question reply to this comment and i will try and help you. When i say 'progress' this can mean weeks,months, depending on your skill level' its about consistancy and getting it into muscle memory which takes a while. The random training is very good for long term retention and in game everything is different each time so you need to be able to adapt to different situations if you struggle initially thats normal, don't give up.

It would be nice to see some Logistics guide for this game, i have seen a lot of people jump in logi squads unprepared or just too afraid to join and help out. With a couple hundred hours in logistics recently i have found myself solo logi for the most part in a match. Awesome video as always dude, keep it up 👍

Yeah your right come to think about it most games since the logi radio update have been noob logi put 1 fob on each point and gets overrun or do dumbstuff poor radio placement lose like 10 per match 100 tickets into the toilet. Swear half the regular logi players quit or something aha. I have 1200 hours in logi and I think I can do a video similar to this but maybe showing some layouts for fobs around points and radio placement tips I'll brainstorm some stuff. My friend has like 6k hours in logi I can ask him stuff. Thanks for watching !

⁠@@thepriceisdwightgood stuff mate, as well as layouts for fobs you can add some tips as to when and where to place fortifications and gun emplacements as some points are worth building up with defences and other are worth surrounding with fobs with no defences. @@antonstanchev yeah good ideas, noobs build so much stuff in bad spot and the enemy just use it as cover around the point or its in a useless spot that obstructs your teams movement. I found the better i got the more impact the stuff i built had on the point and the less i built overall lol.

no worries, the smoke 9 oclock one stopped working this update because the physics have changed on the grenades for some reason, patchnotes say only damage radius was changed so no idea what's happened.

@@thepriceisdwight Im guessing they changed the animation for the grenade trick as well. Im new so i tried it and the palm of the hand is now facing towards you but ill play with it and try to apply that same idea. Good video though man. Really informative for a newbie

@@billyfitzgerald834 sorry billy didnt see this comment in notifications for some reason, you can still do it for the US grenade i recall i look straight up and underarm throw and it goes the same direction each time, the fact you are doing this stuff and trying it out while new means you are pretty switched on and will be better than most players if you stick to the game . The players who are curious to learn stuff and the little details suceed very highly in this game over normal players since there is so much depth to this game. Thanks for the comment though.

Your game looks and runs fantastic, not forgetting your awesome control and aim. I already own Squad and had 44 installed too, but I haven't played it in perhaps 2 years. Been a HLL player until all the bugs got on my nerves. Anyway. I could not get Squad 44 to look good and it was lagging like f... It's totally unplayable. I tried suggested settings and tips but to no avail. The game is a festival of lag and graphics stutter. Utter shait. I don't have issues with other games like Cyberpunk, HLL, RDR2, Squad and more. I have a 5800X3D + 16GB Ram + RX6600 and M.2 disk. The graphics card is not the best, But it works more than great in most games, except Squad 44?

I often have situations where I instantly bleed out, even if I went straight to bandage. Is there anything to do, in those kinda situations?

Unfortunately not if its under 7 seconds time to bandage , i have the key for the medic stuff (5) bound to my a spare key on mouse to speed up how fast i can get it out by yeah can't do much but hope a teammate is nearby when damaged to 1% health :(.

There are different stages of bleed. You can tell by your screen if you're going to instantly die or not. If you got hit really hard and your screen is quite red then there is very little you can do with a bandage. If you're at little - medium bleed, sometimes the bandage animation can get stuck, you can make it 'unstuck' by tapping M2 quickly then holding M1, it will make the animation faster.

Why mouse smoothing though?

when i flick my mouse fast to do a 180 turn if i have smoothing off it goes 20-30* degrees over where it would if it was turned on and feels jankier. Again depends on your mouse. It mainly affects very fast mouse movement not really slow. I have a logitech g502 hero wired btw.

You can use explosives like grenades. I believe they added the ability to destroy them by just going up to them and holding F, but it takes much longer and it always bugs out for me.

@@justjunk3803 It bugs out for everyone, you just keep holding it and the rally will disappear. It doesn't matter if the icon on your screen disappeared, you're still prompting it with F (its just invisible). Keep holding it.

Anti aliasing = TAA, Super sampling = off, Textures =EPIC, Effects =Low, View Distance = EPIC (barely affects frames) , Foliage = Epic(small frame difference) , Shadows ( high fps cost) = Low, Contact shadows I have off to see better ON looks better maybe to you. Screen space reflection = off , Depth of field = off, Anisotropic filtering = 16x (barely any fps cost) Screen space Global illumination =OFF ( this will make your frames shit on turn off always), BLOOM = ON, LENS FLARE = OFF, MOTION blur = off, Volumetric Fog OFF (unless snow maps turn it on and off on snow maps to see which looks better visually depends on how much fog is on that map layer) . Ambient occlusion = off (makes shit darker around bushes and objects) . DLSS off and NIS off. Go to windows program “run” search appdata >local> go to this file config in the post scriptum folder and open “engine.ini” file. C:\Users\_YOURUSER_\AppData\Local\PostScriptum\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor Paste this at the end of the text with one space so should be at bottom of text…. Paths=../../../Engine/Plugins/Runtime/AudioSynesthesia/Content [System Settings] r.TemporalAACurrentFrameWeight=0.16 r.TemporalAASamples=2 This command makes the TAA look 10x better and have no jagged edges around stuff and doesn’t effect frames at all. That’s how I get my anti aliasing looking good.

@@jonrok100 are you using the zeroing for rifle grenades? What distance are you struggling to hit people? They just changed it from impact to a fuse 4 seconds for the HE grenade launcher rounds so It's very hard to aim just at a bush its rolls far.

no worries it is a bit confusing, the button on your keyboard under ESCAPE key and above the TAB key. So between the two keys is the TIL key. If nothing happens it may be unbound == Go to options > general> at the bottom the key bind for 'console' that is the button that opens it
