Hah! Texas A&M built this one after learning of mine at Macalester College, where I taught. And I am a Canadian! Amazingly, a bridge in London, England, was just completed using this same principle. Beautiful and brilliant. The 26,000-pound bridge is moved (to let boats pass) by a hand crank. Search for "Cody Dock Bridge".
