Greg wasn't at his best in this final, physically at least, Elshorbagy did make him move, but credit to Elshorbagy for playing a great tournament thus far with those comebacks and not so easy matches. I really do hope Ashour can come back as the way it seems, it will be almost impossible to remove him from the no 1. spot. Gawad has dipped, ramys injuiries, matthew retiring, and Greg to be gone soon.

Was expecting the Kandra match to be a lot closer. Maybe his previous matches had taken more out of him. And after the highs of winning vs so many great opponents, he couldn't maintain it.

I am watching the final now, tell the commentators that Shorbagy is so tired cause he is fasting Ramadan, no food no drink, how are they not aware? or find it a bit weird that he is in such distress, I am not a Shorbagy fan at all BTW but this is painful to watch.

There is no live chat available while the matches are being played or at least I don't know how to find it so I am sorry if I spoiled for anyone.I'm 100% sure he was against Gaulter, there was a commentator on Bein sports also confirming that. I watch all tournaments on squash TV but some of them are aired on Bein sports. As for the final he looked dehydrated and very weak, just bones (so skinny). I saw him holding a bottle of water but he was not drinking and I never saw him drinking throughout the match, maybe was rubbing his face and hair, I do not want to spoil for others more than that but this is how someone who is fasting will look like during intense physical activity, maybe he did not fast today but he did the previous days.

dalstonjazz Muslims do fast during Ramadan as long as they healthy and sports is like a work, no exception. Mosalah and Mane fasted during their football champions league final. I don't remember who else in the NBA and NFL fasted too. We get used to it but ofcourse we will generate less power during fasting.

I stand corrected - I have read that some of the players were indeed fasting. I just didn't think you could perform at the highest levels without the usual nutrition regime.

El Shorbaghy;s attitude has improved so much. He has become more poised and classy. Whereas Gaultier is typical - aggressive, distracted and cheap at times
