Very sad day for me. I've only been watching the General for about 20 years! Saw him play guys like Nicol and Palmer all the way to the young guys of today. Every single match he played was entertaining whether because of his game or his personality. Truly the end of an era. So happy that I got to have a game with him and even hit with his own racket. I had 2 heroes in professional squash. Only Greg responded on FB and we became acquainted. Even though I play racquetball, he was always encouraging and pushed me. I think so highly of him. I loved his passion and his antics on the court. Great career my friend!!!!!!

Genuinely the smoothest mover on a squash court I've ever seen and commanded the T better than anyone. First saw him play when we were both 15 and he was always destined for greatness. Speaks volumes if you just look at how many matches of his are highlighted on KZbin. 2011 v Shabana my favourite. A sad end for the General but happy retirement and success in the next stage of his career.
