The next amr shabana! gawad is just magnificent! has a great personality too, met him personally once and was super humble and truly gentle. zero pride, ego and attitude

Gawad is so esthetic and his game so fluid and versatile The best since Shabana
@erikschaepers5 жыл бұрын
Precisely, you said it brother! Shabana and Gaultier watched the Babyface some years ago and agreed that "this kid is going to be world #1 some day" .

Top performance from Gawad this game

A lotta people talking about how awesome Gawad is and he is. I love him. He's pure silk on the court. It's gorgeous to watch. Doesn't seem to get nervous and poke and prod at shots (something I do all the time). But El Shorbagy was injured and was off his game. If you can't run in the fifth set you are pretty screwed against a top ten player. It's that simple. Its sad for him but tbh he's played plenty of injured people in the past too and I'll never forget THAT MATCH against Gaultier. I'm glad Gawad won, but I'm sad for El Shorbagy too.

Gawad played really well. but respect for shorbagy for continuing the game even when he was injured.
@tensor1317 жыл бұрын
Yes kudos to Mohammed but he has probably done a lot of damage by continuing to play on that injury. Hope he doesn't start to slip down the Ramy route :( Awesome rallies that would break the bodies of mere mortals

Gawad's climb from #350 in the world 8 years ago to #50 6y ago, #25 4y ago, #20 2y ago, and now #3 and a real contender for best in the world - is inspiring. www.squashinfo.com/rankings/2623-karim-abdel-gawad

Bien por ELShorbagy que siguió jugando hasta el final a pesar de su lesión. Crack.

I had to go back and double check the score in the first game. He was losing 7:1!!!!!

Yeah never seen anyone do that to El Shorbagy.

Get better quick MO, love your game. Not to overstate the obvious, what a drama filled tour, could not be happier with the way things turned out (minus the injuries), Its like a movie or a massage with a happy ending! LOL

such a shame about the injury but all in all a model example of good squash and sportsmanship, both wanted to win clearly but a great match, better player on the day won

Yeah Gawad is now the most dangerous player if you try and keep up with him you will get injured.. It happened to nick Matthew even though he won but he could not finish his final. Now it's elshobagy.. Babyface assassin

Hi there, this video facebook.com/GilletteWorldSport/videos/661587870667209/ gives some info on the rules and what makes Squash such a great sport!
@tensor1317 жыл бұрын
they'll be a court somewhere near you .. find someone and play. Don't be fooled by how small these pros make the court look - you'll find the court is like a stadium. Time and practice will bring it down though.Beware: addiction ahead!
@erikschaepers5 жыл бұрын
you have to win the match
@robertscandiffio7187 жыл бұрын
When Shorbagy was up 8-1 in the first game, Gawad gave up on the point in the back right corner and Shorbagy hit it right to him. Gawad eventually won the rally to begin the comeback. I'm sure Shorbagy will hear about that from Jonah for a long time.

Squash is a great sport - awesome workout and just plain fun to play. Unfortunately, it is not a great viewing sport on TV, whereas tennis is a good sport for watching on TV.

Sorry to read that you think that... We'd recommend giving our Free Game Friday series a watch - some of our most exciting matches which have had commentators giddy and the audience (at the venue & watching on live TV) on the edge of their seats. Start with Greg Gaultier v Mo ElShorbagy in TOC 2017 :D

@abdallahgad43707 жыл бұрын
guys be fair !! wait till u will watch the full match . i guess he was partly injured. also Jawad did a good job no debate .
@ngzijian147 жыл бұрын
3-0 are u nuts ? not even nick mattew or ramy ashore (about the same standard as shorbagy) could beat gawad easily . During the US open nick had to play a 5 settle with karim in the semis in order to take the match. And during the Hong Kong open , ramy played a 5 settle against karim in the finals as well .
@abdallahgad43707 жыл бұрын
Zijian Ng Man calm down when a legend such shorbagy win 3 - 0 or 3 -1, it does not mean that the other guy is weak . cuz he is in a top form. can't be compared wid somone els. i totally agree that gawad is agreat player. agree also wid u that it will be so hard for matthew or ashour to beat him easily .
@ngzijian147 жыл бұрын
Well i thought it would still be impossible to 3-0 gawad even if he was in top form
