I'd like to see who wins the 'leaving the court after every match battle'. I've never seen Farag exit first and lose.

It's getting so tiring looking at him trying to be soooo nice... wish he'd just get on playing squash and stop trying to be Mr nice guy... it's too much now...

Shay Moloney agreed, and he’s way less of good sportsmanship then he makes out to be.

There is something strange going on with Farag's squash. He is playing with all his mind. Lobbying almost every ball, which is giving him lucky bounces. I think some kind of psychologists and think tanks are working with him. The way he beat Rosner is also strange. Squash is more of a physical sport, however during a game when mind is exerted too much your physicals get weak. So you hardly reach a balance point where your physical and mentals approach to a maximum. PSA needs to look into what Farag is doing.........it is not possible somehow, not at least at this time of game of squash.
@L5367755 жыл бұрын
That's also a statergy to play squash.. It's called Physical Chess. What PSA can do on this? PSA can check if he takes any drugs during the matches. Indeed he is lucky in 3 tournaments, Qatar Open, TOC & this one.

I think it's just a smart way of playing squash. He lobs so that he can get time to recover and his lobs are good so the opponent cant play a really good attacking shot and by lobbing to back corners, the bounce of the ball could be really hard to get as it is close to the back wall. I think Ali Farag doesnt emphasize as much on nicks and kills but more of tight shots and shots that require the opponent to run diagonals. By hitting such shots he is waiting for the opponent to return a loose ball and then punish them with his volleys/ drops. And i think the lucky bounces u talk about are all from his years of trainings to allow him to hit such immaculate width that allows for a lucky bounce.

How uneventful. At the start of this tournament I predicted there was a 90% chance Mr. Fantastic would win it.
@1967briano5 жыл бұрын
Ivor O'Connor Farag was a proverbial certainty to win given their respective semi finals. Farag is probably marginally better than momen anyway. Momen was really tired in the fourth. Farag prolonged the rallies. Momen had a 97/8 minute semi final. The bookies had Farag 4/11 before the game. Fair play to Farag. I'm glad he won. 😊

@@1967briano He's so boring though. I'm still hoping Rosner will get his head together and quit being so intimidated. Start holding his shots, start taxiing, and become the next magic man leaving mr fantastic dumbfounded about why he is always guessing wrong.
@1967briano5 жыл бұрын
Ivor O'Connor Fair point. Farag is steady. But a bit loose at times particularly when cross courting. Jansher would annihilate these guys. Rosner is not bad but I don't see him becoming world champion.
