What an amazing result! Really glad for him, he's a very entertaining player to watch and a bit like Hezham he has the skill to be top 10 but maybe not the "mental focus" in a way. But so glad for his win, both players are awesome! Coll will be back!

I read from you: "Love to see Coll lose" "Love seeing Cole get smashed" and "Very boring player." I believe that we do not write this within the framework of sports-like support. On the one hand, these players are also people who have feelings. We have seen many examples of what negative comments do to the emotional world of players. Coll's game may be boring or at least less exciting and intuitive than some other players, but let's not forget that he (also) has put his life on the line for this sport and has reached a level that few can. I think we are all terribly "few" here to criticize them.

As a New Zealander and Paul Coll fan, I'm concerned with the noticable dip in Paul's level of play since he became world #1. I suspect it's got something to do with the phsycological pressure of maintaining his top spot working against him...

Although Paul is a very exceptional player, the truth is most No1's show a dip in form because every player and coach that comes up against them has probably studied hours of their game and has a gameplan in place.

Even though it's part of the game, Tamimi's game management and the creativity of shots overwhelms Coll.Even if I don't have to go to Ashour, I always felt that Coll's game was too boring unlike Matthew or Gaultier, but I can see why, after watching today's game against Tamimi. It is clear that the players' class has been upgraded from the past, but I want to see the overwhelming and brilliant shots of the former top players

Full credit to Tamini, his style of squash is very attacking and a joy to watch. Coll on the other hand did himself no favours with all those loose shots. If you're going to play defensive squash, at least keep it tight down the walls...

If you ever play squash competitively (whatever level), you will realize there are days where you're playing absolutely below what you're capable of and your shots aren't the quality you want. There's nothing you can do about it other than really trying to grind and hang on during the match. If you watch one of Mohd ElShorbagy's interviews, the pros train so hard in order to come out on top on their bad days. Coll was obviously not at his best, and unfortunately could not turn the match around despite the comeback. Huge credit to Tamimi for playing so well.

everyone complaining about the new format for the highlights need to understand that SquashTV is natively on the website and not here on KZbin, so by grabbing attention with an interesting match highlight here on youtube, you're more likely to want to see the other matches or just the extended highlights on the website. Those who complain are simply ungrateful, they could just put all content behind the subscription and then we wouldn't even have highlights

That no let call when Coll was on the floor was interesting. He was obviously in a terrible position, but I think the ball was within his reach and Tamimi was in his swing. Curious situation. A leg feels the most fair, but I think by the wording of the rules it should have been a stroke.

The ball was within his reach? I know Coll is good but he’s not mr fantastic 😂The ball was about 2-3 ft from his racket, then he struck Tamimi once it was way past him to fish for something. Go watch it again in slow motion 😂

C’mon the ball was way past Coll and even assuming he could hit it behind him, it would be limited to a sidewall hit which would not reach the front wall. It felt like Coll was blaming a lot of things in this match but himself.

@@skyjockbill Of course I'm not saying he's a poor player, just that his style is boring and without much creativity and attacking flair. Which means, in my opinion, that if he doesn't find his lengths and widths, he has little else to fall back on to make it difficult for his opponent.

Paul Coll is such a bad loser. Look at Farag, for example, when he loses he is magnanimous and always congratulates his opponent. Coll throws a strop when he loses and it’s not a good look. Perhaps they teach this aspect of sport in NZ.

1. Those who want to win find it hard to lose. If it weren't for that, they wouldn't have the hunger to win. Among the "losers", Coll is only doing "moderately" badly. 2, It is clear that in general Farag stands out from this mentality, although sometimes defeat does not sit well with him either. :) 3, to generalize from Paul Coll to the "Kiwi" teaching.... at least questionable.
