In this video I get to try out the XP pen g640 for the first time. Its really good if you download the correct drivers and not the osu drivers for osu. Although they did say this tablet is for osu!, I think it will do very well as a drawing tablet as well. Although i did only use it for osu! xD.

Yeah I had this tablet as my first tablet and it was honestly so good (I drag). I must've had the first version or something because I didn't really notice any hardware smoothing but maybe it just wasn't very strong but there was no input delay for me which was nice.

The XP-PEN G640 has always been a good tablet - it's arguably one of the best tablets, pros like ThePooN and badeu use it (Rev A) and mrekk uses Rev B but he's complained about the smoothing before. If you want to get it then make sure you receive Rev A (the older version) which has less hardware smoothing and greater specs in general

Hey there, I have been using this tablet for over a year but it'd be hard for me to recommend it. For the same money, or maybe less you can buy better options which may end up being more comfortable. My only issue would be the pen, its super slippery and it tends to shift my grip midmap causing me to loose combo. For the people that haven't bought it yet, make sure to check out the whole rev scandal this tablet generated a few months ago (which was important imo becuase they changed some specs for worse, without letting anyone know). For the people that already do own this tablet, and have the same grip issues as me, some people recommended putting tennis overgrip on the pen. I will be trying it next week, so if you remind me I can give my feedback. Leaving all those things aside, this isn't a bad tablet. So if you manage to overcome those common problems you should be completely fine with it.

yeah the lack of grip is the biggest deal-breaker for me. My hands get very sweaty so i need to have a rubber grip on the pen, something which the Gaomon S620 has and it's performance and price is on par with the G640

I always had a problem with the grip, but I eventually got over it, and it's fine for me now. I also used to have a problem where if I accidentally pressed one of the two buttons on the stylus, it would pretty much have a 50/50 shot of freezing the cursor in place, which would make me lose combo and fail maps when I shouldn't have. I eventually just took the buttons off, and now I don't have that problem anymore. I havem't had any other tablets to compare it to, but it's treated me well for as long as I've had it. (December 2017)

I knew it XD Im using this tablet every day and i dont regret, it is comact and accurate ALSO if youre drawing on this you should turn off the windows ink feature built in the driver, cause for some reason sometimes the cursor may freeze for a milisecond and jump for about 2 pixels far from the start point when you press on it with the stylus But im super ok, would recommend, and using it almost 1 year ofc i didnt try other tablets (LOL) but i got used to it so thats gud:D also that outro music again, I love it LETSGOOO

I've been using this pen for 6 months, everything is good for me just there is literally no grip so if you hold the pen non stop for an hour and a half it will start to slip. The hover is dog shit

I'd just like to leave my experience with the G640 here: 1.) The USB cable it shipped with did not work. Like seriously it didn't do anything when plugged in 2.) Within 2-3 months of frequent use, the entire middle third of the tablet became completely unresponsive. This appears to be a hardware issue after changing drivers at least 3 times. 3.) The lack of grip on the pen means I have to press it on the back of my index finger, which leads to discomfort and eventual bruising (at least how I hold it). I would really recommend a grip of some kind 4.) Despite all of that complaining, I'm honestly not too upset with buying it. It was super cheap when I got it, and I've adjusted my area to avoid the broken part. The (lack of) pen grip still sucks though.

To this day I still wonder why everyone uses the stock drivers as a reference point even though it's basically never advised to use them if the tablet works with literally any of the custom drivers that are currently available (or you could also easily add it on your own if it's not supported).

My friend used this tablet then he broke the pen, fixed the pen (somewhat), then gave that to me. I play with it now. Yes the hovering is really low (more with the broken pen) About the driver I play with hawku driver. Better than xp pen drivers IMO. Edit: the pen is really fragile. *DO NOT DROP IT!*

oh, hey... i've had this tablet for about 1 year now, and I do like it quite a bit. The tablet I had before this one was the xp 430s and the only thing I did not like about the last sone is that it was small ( obviously ), and even though i use a rather small play area, it still felt small for me. one caveat is that I use a mousepad over the table to prevent it from scratching as I am a dragger, but in theory, it makes me feel like I am " hovering " so... yeah... I have recommended this tablet to a couple of people and they seemed to like it quite a bit... I did use the standard drivers for the tablet since day one, so it's been working just fine for me since.... Thank you for shearing this video ( remaking ) since I am pretty sure not many people knows about this tablet, or they overlook at it since they price for it is rather low and you know what they say.... the smaller, the lest sat- anyway. I miss you dude... I have not seen you ion a good minute ( video wise ) and this vid made my day :3

I use the XP-Pen G430S and I am new to osu (been playing a few days) i had the tablet before for art, it was really cheap. Although the hover distance isnt the greatest, i play on a reduced work area in the top right corner so larger jumps dont disconnect and I can rest my hand on the tablet. I also got a tape with a grip surface to put around the pen which improves how you hold the pen

I fixed the grip problem by putting one of those stretchy gel-like pencil grips I bought off amazon on the pen. You have to disable the pen buttons to use it like that, but it really solved the problem. It also looks ghetto as heck LOL

So i was using this tablet on windows 7 fine for a long time but when i changed to windows 10 i had this bug where if i used devocubs smoothing filter in the drivers it would basically cap my polling rate to 60 hz no matter what. For comparison i should be playing on 1000hz. If anyone else has this issue the fix i found was to google a devocub fix made by the community. Just google ''Devocub Tablet Driver with fixed smoothing in Windows Insider Preview'' and look for the reddit thread.

i had the same problem with my tablet. i had the wrong drivers for my h640p so it did nothing to change my tablet. a few weeks ago though, i used the drivers meant for it and it turned out my tablet was actually pretty good

Oi, when buying this there are two versions, the newer and crappy one the rev b and I will not go into detail but it sucks so when buying clarify that you want the older model or the revision a model. I recommend the gaomon s620 as it is the same price as the xp-pen and slightly bigger and it has a similar pen but it has a rubber grip and it also comes with multiple pen tips and a detachable cord as well as one of those gloves that you could buy for like $7 but it comes free with the gaomon.
